Concern regarding consultation

I would like to share my experience regarding a recent Zoom consultation with Mr. Ally Bolour. First, I appreciate his prompt communication and efficiency in scheduling the consultation, as well as his punctuality during the interview on January 9, 2026. Unfortunately, the overall experience wa...s highly stress- and anxiety-inducing. My case concerns an asylum application and does not involve technical or unusual complications. However, recent changes and updates to the asylum process have made it extremely difficult for an ordinary person to understand and follow current procedures, which is precisely why obtaining an expert legal opinion is so important. Mr. Bolour stated that he had reviewed my file, yet he asked me to go through the entire case again rather than briefly confirming the key points. Initially, I assumed this was for clarification or verification. However, his follow-up questions suggested that the file had not been reviewed carefully, as he asked about information already clearly included. When I reiterated details from my written materials, they were dismissed as unimportant. Additionally, without providing sufficient legal context, he made generalized and biased comparisons between different countries’ asylum cases and stated that other cases were more important in his view. I understand that an attorney may have professional preferences or opinions about which cases are easier to defend. However, this consultation was not a request for representation. I did not ask him to take my case. My sole purpose was to obtain a clear, legally grounded understanding of the immigration laws applicable to my situation. The most troubling part of the consultation was his comment, paraphrased as: “Going back to your country is an option instead of dealing with the interview.”. However, my concern specifically related to the December 2025 asylum policy momentum and whether it applied to my situation, an issue that was never clearly addressed or explained. After the consultation, my anxiety significantly increased, and it took me the entire weekend to regain emotional stability before being able to reflect on and share this experience. I have rebuilt my life from scratch as an immigrant and am a well-functioning member of society who pays taxes and contributes meaningfully to this country. Hearing such comments, especially from an immigration attorney, was deeply distressing and made me feel like a disposable member of a society in which I have spent nearly a decade rebuilding my life. Despite paying a substantial amount for this consultation, I was left with increased anxiety and without any clear, legally sound guidance regarding my situation.

A scammer, only after your money.

Please stay away from him. I hired him for my political asylum case. He took thousands of dollars from me but never prepared for my case. His assistant, a law student, did all of my paperwork. His assistant knew more about my case than Ally Bolour !! In fact the day before my immigration interview he... told me, my case was so confusing even he didn't understand it. Imagine my shock and horror on his statement when apparently he spent weeks preparing for my case and now we were one day away from my USCIS asylum interview!! He did not prep me even a single time for my interview with the USCIS asylum officer despite my repeated requests. When I asked him about the format of interview and pattern of questions asked during interview (in his supposedly years of experience in such cases) he told me he had no idea and the immigration officer could ask me anything. Due to lack of prep I got confused during my interview, my case was denied and I was placed in removal proceedings. By grace of GOD I did not proceed with Ally Bolour and found an amazing attorney who did everything Ally didn't do. My second attorney helped me get political asylum from one of the most difficult immigration judge in my state. Ally Bolour made me pay $2400 to a supposed expert of my home country conditions to get country situation report (despite knowing I was short on funds). My subsequent lawyer told me there was absolutely NO need for such a report in my case. Please please please stay away from him for political asylum cases. He will take your money and not prepare for your case. Please don't jeopardize your chance of finding safety in this country!!

Bolour law offices was incredibly helpful

Ally Bolour Law Offices was incredibly helpful to me. Scott Emerick advised and counseled me through many hurdles of my immigration. I would highly recommend them to anyone dealing with immigration to the U.S. Despite the immigration bans, and the increasing difficulties to gain residency here, S...cott and the associates at Ally Bolour Law Offices were able to help approve my green card. I am very happy I chose them for this process. They treated me with much understanding and care, during a time that I felt hopeless they were the people who gave me peace of mind that everything would go well. Scott also came with me to my interview, which made it a lot less stressful. I will certainly come back to Ally Bolour for any future immigration needs.

Rude

I asked my complicated pending green card case and Mr. Bolour quoted me $20k (I'm not kidding)for his service and said "if you leave USA to visit my country while the case is pending, you will be banned for 10 years or probably never able to enter US". I hired a reputable sincere lawyer instead..., my lawyer said I would be able to re-enter US while waiting for my complicated pending GC case, i believed her and visited my country a few times, I had no problem coming back at the port. And I became a permanent resident because of her.

Nothing short of a miracle worker

Ally Bolour was going to be my last shot at obtaining legal status. I have been to 8 lawyers before Ally between New York, Miami, Baltimore and Myrtle Beach. All the previous lawyers did for me was tell me why my case was hopeless. The first thing Ally did was tell me why I had a good chance. I came... to the US on a J-1 Intern Visa which required that I had to go back home for 2 years before applying for another Visa. Ally was able to dismiss the 2 year condition and within a year I had a permanent green card. My advice to anyone who wants to hire Ally is this: Trust him, he knows what he's doing. Let him help you like he helped me.
