I contacted Alana Segal via The Blanch Law Firm back in 2014 to represent me on a criminal drug charge that I did not commit. My only crime was being a poor judge of character, manipulated by a psychopathic ex who abused, blackmailed, and threatened me into this situation, leading to a felony drug ch...arge. Oh and just one more tiny thing I’m also guilty of; falling for the online hype portraying Alana Segal as an excellent and passionate lawyer. After she cajoled me into retaining her for over twelve thousand dollars, I practically never heard from her again. She exchanged a few perfunctory emails and then abruptly handed me off to her colleague Michael Kushner, as if she couldn't get rid of me fast enough. When I expressed discontent about this bait and switch, another lawyer at the firm, Julie Rendelman, had the audacity to say to me, "LEAVE ALANA ALONE! The woman is hundreds of miles away in LA trying to live her life, would you please just let her be!" I kid you not. The nightmare that ensued with Michael Kushner was a complete travesty. He railroaded me and failed me at every turn. This firm thrives on the manipulation and misfortunes of others. Their dream come true was a young, naive, first-time offender like myself, who had no clue how the law works, and they milked that naïveté for all it was worth. Michael Kushner gaslit me into "confessing" to drug charges I never committed, instead belonging to my abusive ex. He then manipulated me into pleading guilty to heinous crimes I would never in a million years associate with. They didn't answer calls, missed court dates, and treated me with apathy and indifference from the very outset. When it came certain things they were pushing me to tell the DA, I found myself seriously questioning who they were really working for. Even as a virgin to the legal system, it was clear they certainly weren't working for me. Alana Segal and this firm screwed me in every way possible, and I'm more than happy to elaborate further when they predictably deny it all or find an artful way to spin it in. Beware of Alana Segal and her firm, she is a true nightmare.

I've received a call out from them a female voice addressed to me offering the two languages speaking coversation as well English and Russian. In the biggining the counterpart who's name I didn't recognize properly and shunned off to re-ask trying to skimp on air time, especially free for the initial... talk, was generally rather suave and encouranged me to explain more of my case. While I am explaining she's obviously lost interest to the topic and many times passed from one language to another just out of blue. Moreover she gave me neither clear advise nor reasonable explanation to why should I get her hired and even omitted with sending me her email to address the details of my case. I think the such attitude doen't correspond to any code of conduct for the civilized people will carry on business. Especially such delicate as a legal one.

From the minute Alana took my case, she was completely on top of every detail. She really cared about the issue I was dealing with and pursued this case vigilantly. The sense of relief I felt when my landlord stopped harassing me was indescribable and I owe Alana a huge debt of gratitude. It is refre...shing to have a young lawyer, completely passionate about law, on your side. I would definitely use her services again.
