James Winston Spertus

Mr. Spertus was our lawyer during an extremely difficult federal criminal fraus case. The case was tried very aggressively and Mr. Spertus was relentless in his efforts to grant us an acquittal. We were well informed about all proceedings and I could not have imagined a better lawyer and human bein...g to represent us. Rarely, in any profession, do you meet someone so passionate and knowledgeable about his craft. He was extremely well-read in the case law pertaining to our trial and worked tirelessly throughout the case to ensure he provided us with the absolute best defense. From the moment we met with Mr. Spertus, he showed a genuine interest not only in the case but also in my family's well-being. He is one of the few great men I have met in this profession. Mr. Spertus took on my Federal Drug case after 2 other lawyers had done a horrible job. He had a challenge on his hands and some how fought his hardest to try to bring my case and myself where we needed to be. He is not easily intimidated and will truly fight for you. I was facing a 10 year minimum m...andatory and was HATED by the prosecutor he sat with me for months and for long hours to understand every detail of the case. Although, he has many high profile cases he never made me feel like I was not a priority and when it came time to working on my case I had his full attention.
