With over 20 years of immigration law experience, Ms. Pilcher has a breadth and depth of experience that enable her to provide an unparalleled level of service to her immigration clients, whether they be large-scale business enterprises or individuals. Prior to entering private practice in 2002, Ms. Pilcher was a full-time member of the faculty at the University of Arkansas School of Law in Fayetteville, Arkansas. As an Assistant Professor of Law from 1992 to 1999, she taught overview courses and specialized seminars in Immigration Law and other subjects, including writing and advocacy. After six years of private business practice with a Burlington, Vermont commercial law firm, where Ms. Pilcher’s business practice focused on immigration, intellectual property, health care and commercial litigation, she chose to devote her practice fully to immigration law. She is currently a partner with Stone Grzegorek & Gonzalez LLP, a full-service immigration law firm in Los Angeles, Callifornia.
Ms. Pilcher’s business immigration practice with the commercial firm served primarily large corporate and institutional clients, including hospitals, health care facilities, manufacturers, school districts and utilities, many of whom remain clients today. She is widely recognized as a leading practitioner in the highly technical area of the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program, representing investors and entrepreneurs, regional centers, and EB-5 investment project developers. She has successfully represented clients in a broad range of immigration matters, including H-1B, L, TN, H-2B, E-1, E-2, O, J-1 waivers (physician, hardship and no objection), B-1/B-2 (including in lieu of H-1B), F-1 (including cap gap, OPT and reinstatement matters), J-1 (including scholars, medical residents, au pairs, trainees), PERM labor certifications and permanent residence cases (EB-1, EB-2, EB-3, and EB-5), VAWA, U, K-1, K-3, humanitarian and port paroles, international adoptions and family-based matters of all kinds. She has represented businesses before ICE in worksite enforcement matters, conducted I-9 audits, and provided in-house training on employment eligibility verification and related matters. She counsels business owners and HR professionals regarding compliance and employment issues. She has extensive experience with consular processing, Northern U.S. border practice, and agency adjudications.
