Marcelle Alexandra Obeid

Marcelle Obeid is a young associate attorney serving the Los Angeles community. Marcelle obtained her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of California Davis in 2015 and continued on to graduate from the UC Davis, School of Law (King Hall) shortly thereafter.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Marcelle spent a year working for the UC Davis Immigration Law Clinic where she gained experience in “crimmigration.” Here, she notably achieved a gubernatorial pardon for a client facing deportation for a low-level misdemeanor. Marcelle also successfully prepared and won asylum for a former drug cartel informant at her Convention Against Torture hearing.

Marcelle has substantial experience in all aspects of law. She interned at a constitutional rights organization where she conducted research and prepared complaints to the Office of the Inspector General – Civil Rights Division, for First Amendment issues plaguing student activists. She then spent a year as a certified law clerk at the Yolo County District Attorney’s Office, where she conducted her first jury trial. She has received numerous awards for her legal work including a public service law certificate after completing 175 hours of public interest oriented legal work and an Outstanding Oral Advocate award in her 1L legal writing class.

Marcelle focuses her practice to discrimination, sexual harassment, civil rights violations, premises liability cases, government tort claims, school district cases, wrongful death and traumatic injury cases. She specializes in motion drafting and arguing, court appearances, and appellate drafting. Outside of the courtroom, Marcelle is into portrait photography and music production.
