I had a phenomenal experience with BASTA and Kevin Hermansen. BASTA is a non-profit and only does eviction defense, so they're really good at it. I lived in a building that the city of Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety determined was illegally converted to residential lofts. Kevin used... the Rent Stabilization Ordinance to get me the required relocation fee and my landlord criminally charged. If you see a bad review... it was probably written by a crooKed landlord that lost a case to Kevin. If you find yourself in the unfortunate situation of being evicted, you couldn't do better than Kevin Hermansen.
