Hazel S. Chang

Hazel S. Chang, Esq. is a seasoned Senior Trial Attorney with a diverse legal background totaling over twelve years and an impressive compensation record on behalf of her clients. Throughout Hazel’s unique legal career, she has engaged in the formulation of litigation strategies, extensive case management, and trial preparation. Joining Wilshire Law Firm in 2017, she brings her considerable knowledge and a keen eye for detail to every case that she handles. Mrs. Chang has researched and analyzed an expansive range of legal topics, including consumer protection class action cases. Hazel specializes in personal injury cases, specifically automobile accidents and premise and product liability. Hazel’s prominent settlements include a $2 million bus v. pedestrian settlement, a $2 million auto v. auto settlement, a $1.2 million auto v. auto settlement, and two separate $1 million auto v. auto settlements.

Hazel’s inspiration to become a legal advocate for innocent victims everywhere stems from her passion for helping others. As a San Francisco native, Hazel earned her undergraduate degree at the University of California, Riverside before graduating with her Juris Doctor from Golden Gate University School of Law. She was honored from 2019-2021 as a Super Lawyers Southern California Rising Stars Honoree, and she is a prominent member of both The National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 and the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA).

Hazel firmly believes that giving back to her surrounding community is essential, and she demonstrates this belief by serving as an Honorary Board Member for the Los Angeles Trial Lawyers’ Charities, which is an organization committed to supporting education, children, the homeless, survivors of abuse, and persons with disabilities. Hazel’s admirable dedication to the less fortunate and helping others both in her personal and professional life differentiates her from other attorneys in similar fields. Hazel’s inspiration for practicing law and helping others stems from her mother, Hazel’s role model who also goes above and beyond for others in any way possible. When not practicing law, Hazel enjoys traveling, snowboarding, playing poker, and being a mom to her two young children, Austin and Zoe.
