Biography
Bret R. Carter concentrates his practice on estate planning, probate and trust administration matters. He also has significant business and real estate expertise and advises his clients in corporate, business and real estate transactions.
Mr. Carter earned his bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University and his law degree from Pepperdine University School of Law, where he was a member of The Order of Barristers and The Moot Court Board. Mr. Carter was awarded the American Bar Association Young Lawyer Award Achievement (1990) and is a former member of the Beverly Hills Bar Association Board of Governors.
Mr. Carter is a member of the State Bar of California, the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is also a member of the Los Angeles Venture Capital Association and the Apartment Owner’s Association of Greater Los Angeles. In addition, he is active in numerous community affairs groups including Rotary Club of Santa Monica.
