During her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara, Ms. Galindez worked for the Admissions Outreach Program to attract and retain students of color. Additionally, she volunteered as a tutor and mentor at the Isla Vista Teen Center to help under-privileged teens do their homework and prepare for college.

California Innocence Project, California Western School of Law, Legal Intern, evaluated claims of factual innocence.

Pro Bono intern for the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF) where Ms. Galindez was involved with issues regarding immigration raids, voting rights issues, and discriminatory practices in public school enrollment.
