You would be naive to choose any other attorney in the state of California. We worked with over a dozen different legal teams across California, and Stephen was the only “human” we had the pleasure working with. Rather than equip us with toxic ammunition to attack each other through the court pro...cess (I promise you every other law office will try and put you on the offensive against your ex), he found common ground where there was none in sight, he led us to peace when the violence/confrontation was at an all time high. I don’t write reviews, but given the weight of going through a divorce, I felt compelled to share this. So whoever reads this, knows they need not search any further for their divorce attorney. The process sucks but Stephen makes it bearable while being genuine and TRUSTWORTHY. It’s SoCal, not common in an attorney. Hope this helps someone going in to what I just came out of.

STEPHEN CHEN was a God send in my divorce case matters. First off, he and his associate Nora will so gentle, clear, and thorough explaining the process of how it all works, what to expect, what it will cost, and if they thought they can make a difference in my case. After interviewing 3 offices, it w...as clear I was going with Stephen. Stephen is a husband and a father, and he really gave me great advice on how to approach my case, rooting in integrity and fairness. He wasn't pushing me to do what's best for me, but what was best for my family. And that showed me he really cares about humanity. He's not a yes man, but a great man! My case went as smooth as a baby's but. I only ended up paying $150 more than the original retainer you projected based on what my case would entail, which was so honorable, as many would be afraid of more bills stacking up. My case reached a settlement within 2 months, and the court approved it within 24 hours. It was honestly record time with no bumps or bruises. After a brief consultation with Stephen, I knew he was the lawyer for me. He explained the separation and divorce processes and prepared me step by step as to what to expect. He provided me with valuable, honest and accurate advice. He was professional and supportive. He did not waver and maintained ...a strong work ethic throughout the process. Beyond thankful for Stephen Chen's wisdom/advise in Family Law, compassion towards his clients needs, his communication (email, text, phone), execution and always available in a moments notice. Stephen's dedication TRULY sets him apart in Family Law. He's knowledgable, a straight shooter ...and an attorney who listened to our every concern. He was also prepared with questions and always kept our meetings on track without wasting our time (which could cost more money). Prior to Stephen, we had a nightmare of an experience with another attorney and that costed our DVRO case (including crucial evidence i.e: pics, text, videos that was dismissed with the DVRO). It was such an injustice and devastation to our family. However, before custody issues (case) began, Stephen was able to see the truth behind our jurisdictional concerns and shed light over a scenario that was going south very quick.
