I came to Gomez and Simone Law Firm with a complicated mess of a divorce case to deal with the distribution of assets. Mark Gomez was willing to work with me, so he was affordable right from the beginning. I wouldn't hesitate hiring his services twice. I felt as his high priority as a person thr...oughout the entire process of the case from beginning to end. He fought for me in a way that showed care and conscientiousness in my needs. His negotiations were intelligent and very effective, so that everyone involved was satisfied with the end result. I am very grateful for the outstanding work Mark got done, it exceeded my expectations. Mark has a great personality, he was always available for me, was always very professional, treated me with respect and always looking out for my best interest. I hired Mark to help me with an HOA suit. My neighbors had violated the CC&Rs, taken over the property, taken away all my rights, were turning our property into a ghetto and bringing down our property value. They even took our front yard, took out all the plants and greenery, walled it off, put in As...tro Turf and made it their own private patio. It became so bad that I developed illnesses and had to start seeing doctors and take medication. I was a complete wreck emotionally and physically. I explained everything to Mark and he said that he dealt with these types of cases all the time and he would take care of me. He promised that he’d be on top of my case and know every detail. He gave me an estimated monthly rate. He said he’d take over and get things going, answer opposing counsel’s questions and give them the information they needed. None of these things happened. For all the months I had retained Mark, all I got was large invoices, his yelling at me and berating me...because I wanted him to actually DO HIS JOB and he put me in a bad situation and jeopardized my case. Mark knew nothing about my case. I would call or email to ask questions or get progress reports and he couldn’t give me answers. He couldn’t give me answers because he literally did not have them. He wasn’t on top of my case at all like he promised he would be. After a while...Mark stopped returning my calls and emails all together because he knew he had nothing to say. I finally had to leave and find another attorney. By this time I was in a bad position. I was in a bad position and I was the INNOCENT PARTY. I had all the evidence and it should have been an easy case. I should have been in a GREAT position. My new attorney had to start all over again and fix everything...and of course charge me for everything all over again. Hiring Mark Gomez was one of the worst things I’ve ever done in my life. He didn’t make my nightmare better...he made it MUCH WORSE!
