After years of trying to negotiate with my lenders and hiring two attorneys at separate occasions, I have been unsuccessful to modify my terms with my mortgage lenders. Unfortunately, this led me to ultimately file chapter 11 bankruptcy. I was cautious and took steps to call many attorneys in Los Angeles, and researched them to seek the highest level of experience for my case, since not all bankruptcy attorneys qualify and accept chapter 11 cases. The most qualified attorney that I was lucky to have found was David Shevitz at the URE Law Firm located in Downtown Los Angeles. He represented and protected me to the fullest extent and achieved the results beyond what I had anticipated. I was guided by him throughout this transition and was advised with the most intricate details of what my case needed to successfully receive court confirmation. His performance allowed the creditors to settle, which I was awarded terms beyond my expectations that had the most successful results. I highly recommend anyone seeking bankruptcy representation to contact David Shevitz, who has changed my financial status to be positive.

Prior to meeting with attorney Shevitz, I had been burned by others attorneys in the past. I attribute poor legal advice to the loss of a prior business and it left like I was being crushed under the weight of the collection letters I was receiving. David helped to put my concerns at ease and helped me to regain control of my finances. He also helped prevent the foreclosure of my home. Moreover, David was very responsive to my questions. If you are in need of an experienced attorney who truly cares about people, give Mr. Shevitz a call.

David, helped me greatly. I reached out to him to file bankruptcy as I was hit with a huge judgment that I couldn't pay. He took me on as a client and was able to negotiate a settlement outside of bankruptcy court for pennies on the dollar. He was very responsive and communicated great.

Going through the complex and expensive process of CH11 can be a daunting and stressful situation- especially if it’s on the heels of dealing with two prior law firms who failed to provide the effective and professional legal guidance. David Shevitz, from the Ure Law Firm, delivered superb legal advice that considered the personality and demeanor of both the judge as well as the very aggressive unsecured creditors. His advice, coupled with Tom Ure’s leadership, was on consistently point and flawless. They have my highest recommendation for anyone who may have to undergo this unfortunate event and can rest assured that their legal counsel will proceed their interest in fees!

Attorney David Shevitz saved my bankruptcy case and ultimately my home. I initially filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy with an attorney that I thought was well versed in bankruptcy law. My case was pending for over a year and my plan was still not finalized. Thankfully, I met Mr. Shevitz who indicated he could fix my case and get my plan approved. Not only did he fix all the remaining problems that were still pending, but he actually lowered both the length of my Chapter 13 Plan and my monthly payment obligation. Moreover, he was able to refund some of the attorney fees I had paid my prior bankruptcy counsel. My mortgage is now current and I no longer have a second mortgage thanks to Mr. Shevitz. I cannot recommend him enough!

I made a series of poor financial decisions and found myself in considerable debt. After speaking with bankruptcy attorney David Shevitz for the first week, I was sure I had made the right choice. David was thoughtful, insightful, and extremely knowledgeable about chapter 7 bankruptcy laws.
Long story short, I would highly recommend David Shevitz to anyone else in a similar situation.

David is my go-to-guy for bankruptcy issues and the only attorney who I will ever refer bankruptcy matters too. He is one of only a handful of professionals whose work I can always trust. There are few attorneys who are as dedicated and detail-oriented as David, so I strongly endorse him.
