Biography
Babak Lalezari is a founding lawyer of Redefine Law Firm (formerly known as Caliber Law Firm, Inc.). Prior to establishing Redefine Law Firm, Mr. Lalezari practiced in the Los Angeles office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP in the firm’s Litigation Department where he was a member of the Class Actions Practice Group and the Appellate and Constitutional Law Practice Group. Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Mr. Lalezari served as full time law clerk to the Honorable Mary M. Schroeder of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He also served as an extern to the Honorable Robert Gary Klausner of the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
Mr. Lalezari graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles, where he received his bachelor’s degree in Psychology with College Honors and graduated Phi Beta Kappa. Mr. Lalezari received his Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School. He graduated magna cum laude and Order of the Coif in 2008. During his time at Loyola Law School, Mr. Lalezari served as Chief Symposia Editor of the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review, as teaching assistant to Professor John T. Nockleby, and was a Sayre MacNeil Scholar.
Mr. Lalezari is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the Iranian-American Bar Association, and the Federal Bar Association, and is admitted to practice law in the State of California, the United States District Court, Northern and Central Districts of California, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
