Erikson Mcdonnell Davis

I am a 69 year old divorced women. I hired Mr Davis's law firm to assist me with a home modification loan with my mortgage Cenlar. Davis's law firm acted like they were working on my behalf but they did NOTHING and I lost my home. I am now in financial crisis as a result. I lost so much, my home, my ...financial security, my belongings, my credit and my dignity. It appears that only Davis has rights as I have none. Why is this? I paid Davis over $10,000 to assist me. I no longer trust in anyone.

Gone are the days where you have to spend a good amount of time in a library or research center just to be informed or be familiarized about a certain topic. In today's world, most information is just a Google search away. I have been very independent in processing any legal documents or sorting an...y legal matters for myself. I always thought I don't need an attorney to help me out, not to mention I always thought most attorneys are in it for the money and not really to help out their clients. Fortunately for me, my perspective has changed. Last year I went through financial hardship and was unable to keep up with my mortgage payments. I was on the brink of losing my property that I worked hard for years! I have tried to work with my bank so I can catch up or at least have an affordable mortgage. All the documents, emails, phone calls fell on deaf ears! I did all I could but my efforts were going nowhere!. While I was doing my research through NOLO, I submitted a question in hopes of getting a new perspective on how I can solve my problem. I have been struggling with my mortgage for several years. I had applied for modification and the lender continued to drag it on longer then I ever imagined. After 13 months i went on line and received a call from the office of Mr. Erikson Davis. I was not to positive that they would have any greater... chance of helping me dig out of this mess, yet they were. With apprehension I agreed to a retainer and a payment plan to get me on board. I provided them with all the required documentation that the bank has asked me for and they handled the entire process. It was brought to my attention that I had some legal issues and that it was a matter of filing a law suit to get the attention of the legal department of the bank and these facts would be leverage to open up a dialog for a settlement. In approximately 4 months I was approved for a principal reduction and a lower interest rate and the bank forgave my past due payments and now I can rest at night. Mr. Davis did not promise me the world but they did say that the bank would be forced to fight the law suit or settle and that experience show the bank would rather cut its losses and move on to easier pray, and thats what happen. I feel that by having an attorney represent me gave my family the best chance of saving our home. I am glad I did not listen to my brother in law who said they could not help me. They did not call me every day but I am sure they have others to help as well, but when it came down they did a great job for me.
