Megan lucey in Reno was a total joke to deal with. I wouldnt suggest her to anyone especially intelligent & sensitive people. Her just trust me process might get you a win, but will cost you dearly as you sit in the dark. She lacks empathy, sympathy, emotional intelligence while being combative and d...isplaying anger, controll and manipulation. Her and female staff's excessive in-house contact with a lawyer who is charging 450 an hour. Vauge invoices and some didnt even come through at all. Expecially one durring a particular expensive period... Her own (over used and well payed) staff, couldn't explain the parts and process of what was going on in layman's terms. They consistently forgot things like even the billing practices (I had to remind them) durring the deposit of a retainer. 7k of which was gone in 2 court hearing with in 5mo. Because constant communication in house and to my ex lawyer. While not letting me handle any of my case work. I think their vauge nature is to ensure they stay busy ($$$$) and in controll. Megan tries to present a professional caring front but displayed compleat attitude. And when challenged, the controlling, angry covert narcissist appeared. Even with full on twisting of another persons words. She yells at clients and tells them how to behave while not being able to controll her emotions. She doesnt care about you dispite her claim of caring. Because she openly dismissed my dreams and struggles but threw the importance of her case files and work history in my face as a sign of her importance over me; the paying client with a child in the balance. She has admittedly never faced losing a child to an abusive parent and cannot understand your suffering. I have over 40yrs of addressing addicts and would bet money that shes using some combo of drug/achol to try and function. She also literally gets big wide physco eyes with pin point pupils and cannot express herself when angry durring confrontation. Even when she is "calm" she is rude and lacks simple compassion & understanding. Even durring consultation, she stirred anxiety in me that  I never shouldn't have ignored from day one. Megan Lucey and he staff go above and beyond in all they do. Both Megan Lucey and her staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. Megan knows her stuff and is a pit bull with a hair bow. She will fight for you and not back down. She listens, advises and works with you to find a solution to your pr...oblem. I would gladly use Megan Lucey any time I needed legal services. Not only is Megan Lucey an all star, but her staff make the experience and working with Berkich and Lucey, all that much more pleasant and effortless.

I worked with Megan Lucey and her team for a child custody case. Megan is professional, experienced, and well-prepared. She made sure my son’s best interests were at heart throughout the process and was so well-prepared for court. The communication from her team was excellent. Megan exceeded my expec...tations throughout the entire process. I would HIGHLY recommend Megan and would use her again in a heartbeat.

While I cannot say that the attorney my husband and I worked with in this firm was ineffective I would have to say that their billing practices were absolutely outrageous. My husband and I had done most of the work ourselves and decided to get an attorney involved for the hearing. We hired an attorne...y at this firm in late November as our hearing was scheduled for 12/11. Between then and our hearing they managed to somehow charge us an excess of $4,500 dollars!!! $2500 of which they needed before showing up for our hearing which was in 5 Days.. imagine the stress. After our they hearing managed to find another 2500 to bill and stated that we were only going to incur more chargers and would not complete our case until another $2500 was paid. After explaining our financial situation (which they already knew because of our hearing) we were offered to come up with $1200 in 7 days and pay $250 a month for the rest or we'd be sent to collections. How an attorney can rack up over $7000 in less than 30days is baffling. I wouldn't recommend them to anybody ever which is unfortunate because I believe the attorney did good work just very greedy and the legal system is bad enough without an attorney who's trying to make a profit out of your misery.
