Let me start off by saying FIND SOMEONE ELSE TO HANDLE YOUR CASE! ANYONE ELSE! I felt like I’ve had two full time jobs over the last year and a half. My normal job and holding the hand of the Paul Powell Law Firm to process my claim. If you don’t follow up, you won’t hear from the Paul Powell Law Fir...m and once you follow up you will realize all the mistakes they make throughout the entire process. The overall process was a nightmare. Zero communication, no follow up and utter incompetence. In the end due to mistakes made directly by the Paul Powell Law Firm, I received even less than I should have. After giving them opportunity after opportunity to rectify the situation I’ve given up and felt it was best to share my experience with others

PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE HIRING THIS LAW FIRM. I hired this form based on their slogan... More money less fee.... This firm convinced me to settle on a car accident case that should of been a No brainer. I did have pre existing injuries when I was hit head on by a woman on her phone. The thing ...was I had an MRI 3 WEEKS prior to the accident showing my TWO bulging discs that I was currently under medical care for... After the accident I had another MRI and it showed that I now had THREE bulging discs. I was told by my doctor that it WAS because of the accident that the third disc was injured. I went to chiropractic care that was set up by the Powell Law Firm. But after three weeks of treatment Powell Law Firm told the chiropractor to end my treatment. I was told that because the accident was considered minor ( a woman on her phone drove into me head on in a parking lot) that I could only be approved for limited treatment. After 7 months of NEVER speaking to an attorney, only paralegal and sectetary, I called and said I wanted to end our attorney/client relationship and that's when I finally got to spiral to an actual attorney. He called and told me I would be best off to settle my case on the FIRST offer amount cause the insurance company wouldn't budge and come up anymore. (I've necer heard of an insurance company only making one offer in the negotiating process unless the attorney ISNT fighting for you) so based on his "professional" opinion I accepted an offer that Didn't even cover all my medical bills. Which is even more discerning... My medical bills for the DOCTOR THEY SENT ME TO were more than my attorney fees. 12 visits to the chiropractor alone were SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS .. Now that did include an MRI which was more expensive than the MRI I had done at the hospital BEFORE my accident happened. This attorney DID NOT look out for my best interest as my back is now worse than it was before and it is an injury that will only get worse as time goes on. It isn't something that will get better or correct itself. This law firm did not fight for me or look out for me. I wouldn't doubt they negotiated a higher paying case in exchange for throwing my case under the bus. DO NOT HIRE THIS FIRM. DO YOUR REASEARCH... if I could give them negative stars I would The called me ONCE to try to get me to remove my Yelp review while sticking to his story that if I litigated the case then I would of ended up with nothing. And his reasoning was that it didn't matter that I had incurred a worse injury from the accident that was medically documented by MRI"s but that because there was no way to determine the amount of pain that was from my pre existing 2 bulging discs in relation to the pain that was added by my new injury, the third bulging disc... I'm sorry does the pain difference matter.. The fact that the added injury will cause quicker and worsened problems with my back is what is really at stake here. The fact is I will NEED back surgery SOONER because I have MORE OF AN INJURY.... all the attorney kept saying was... You got more money than the law firm and I agreed to settle so it is what it is. Yes I did agree to settle because of the shotty ineffective representation I received from a licensed attory who SCARED me into taking a deal I shouldn't have... Everything that firm did from the get go was sub par... Sending me to an over priced chiropractor for 12 visits then stopping the care WITHOUT asking me how I felt or if I still needed treatment... And then suggesting if I want to see anything then I should settle and not litigate... I will tell you I have never left a review before that I can remember...but this experience was so horrible I felt I had to in order to hopefully save someone else from being misrepresented

Powell has been working on my case for about 14 months already. I've never meet or talked to an attorney. Everything has been handled by their assistant. It took a whole year to get an update on my case. Called a year after hiring them and They didn't even know who I was! Signed my case settlement 3 ...months ago and still haven't received my check. I've called at least 50 times and it's always "we will let them know you called", and they never call back!
