Replied last October 17, 2019We strive to provide the best quality legal service to our clients, charge our clients accurately and fairly, and be responsive to their questions and concerns. In this particular case, Kasey was overseas and often not available by phone or otherwise. In fact, there were periods of time when our office was unable to get in touch with him. Regardless, we successfully handled his custody matter, and a final custody decree has been signed. Notably, the opposing party wanted to strip Kasey of all custodial rights to his child, and we successfully fought against this, securing him joint legal custody and visitation time with his child. This was one of our success stories. This client is mistaken as to the fees and costs which he paid. To date, he incurred approximately $9,700 in fees and costs, not the $15K claimed. Finally, a refund of his unused retainer will be processed at the completion of this matter, which we anticipate to be by the end of this month. His suggestion that we are holding his money is just plain wrong.

Replied last April 13, 2018Unfortunately, this client refused to accept legal advice and the attorney-client relationship was extremely short-lived as a result. Contrary to this individual's claims, all work was performed in a professional and timely manner, and client was kept well-informed. He just didn't like the message, and had no respect for the messenger.

Replied last April 23, 2016This particular client made verbal and written representations to the opposing party prior to the court hearing which did not help her position. This client was extremely inarticulate, and this was obvious to the judge. Moreover, this client failed to bring witnesses to court who could testify as to the tenant's breach of lease after being instructed to do so. I have been an attorney for 27 years and have never been accused of being unprepared for an eviction hearing and this case was no exception! The case was continued by the judge to give the parties the ability to mediate which, of course, was unsuccessful. The client failed to do what the judge ordered which did not help her case. The client was present at both hearings but I took the time afterwards to explain the judges ruling. My staff explained it to the client again. For obvious reasons, this client still doesn't get it. Not surprising. Questions posed by clients are routinely answered as a matter of policy by myself and my office staff. In closing, in all my years of practice, I am apalled by and take personal offense to this review. I guess that it is easy to blame an attorney when you don't like a judge's decision.
