Janice Eve Jacovino

I hired Ms. Jacovino to help me get my deposit back as my landlord had egregiously kept my monies. I approached her a few months after I left my home in the end of 2014. I JUST got back my $1K that I had paid Jacovino and her team in May 2017!! To make a long story short. my landlord had a persona...l vendetta against me even though I paid my rent each month. She charged me for every little thing and kept my deposits. I went to Jacovino et al and she said that my case looked good and they wouldn't take a case they didn't think they could win. Well, after almost two years I only got back the $1K that I paid them to represent me. I asked what happened and she said that I would have to go to court. All they could negotiate of the $1500 I had lost and the $1k I had given them, was $1k. I had actually won the case against the owners but I couldn't collect because they were out of state. She said I had to put on lien on them and she would charge me more. On SEVERAL occasions I asked if she had even sent a letter to the owners threatening a lien and I was given the same reply as above. These ladies are nice enough but I think that is the problem, they are TOO nice and in this world of legal matters this is NOT what you want. I hope they learn to toughen up and get their clients what they deserve!
