Charles Lybarger

Charles Lybarger received his J.D. degree from the University of Missouri, Kansas City, in 1992. Mr. Lybarger began his career co-founding the firm of Kerns & Lybarger, working in civil and commercial law and litigation.

After his partner became a judge in 1996, Mr. Lybarger next co-founded the firm of Lybarger, Bunin & Bunin, again focusing on commercial law and litigation, and acting as the managing partner.

In 2002, Mr. Lybarger began his current firm of Lybarger Law Offices, focusing primarily on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, securities work, trust and estates, and tax work.

In addition to his private practice, Mr. Lybarger was appointed by the Mayor of Las Vegas as an alternate judge for the City of Las Vegas in 2011, and continues serving in that role. Mr. Lybarger has been a Court appointed Arbitrator for the 8th Judicial District Court in Nevada, and was appointed by the Nevada Supreme Court to serve as a Supreme Court Mediator.

During his collegiate years, Mr. Lybarger was a member of the national debate teams for both the University of Iowa, and then for UNLV. At the University of Iowa, Mr. Lybarger won the Big 10 Debate Championship as a freshman, and he and his partner (now Judge Kerns) later helped put UNLV’s young debate program on the map by finishing as a top-20 team on the national collegiate debate circuit during their senior year.

Mr. Lybarger was proud to serve his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps.
