Garrett Chase is a Las Vegas-area attorney with experience in real property and lien litigation, contract disputes, commercial litigation, and appellate advocacy. His background in engineering, physics, and software development gives him a unique perspective on analyzing complex problems and developing practical solutions for his clients.
Before becoming an attorney, Garrett worked in the software industry in a variety of roles, including projects involving Microsoft and Google. That experience helped him develop strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills that now serve him in the courtroom and in representing clients through complex disputes. Garrett grew up in Montana, completed his undergraduate studies in Seattle, and ultimately came to Las Vegas to continue his career.
While attending the UNLV-Boyd School of Law, Garrett distinguished himself in trial advocacy, legal writing, and negotiation and mediation. He earned a place on the UNLV moot court team, receiving awards for both written and oral advocacy in local competitions, including Best Oral Advocate. In the national Duberstein Moot Court Competition—the largest single-facility moot court competition in the country—Garrett and his teammates placed second out of 60 teams and received an award for Outstanding Appellate Brief. He also received a CALI Award for Excellence in Boyd's Opening Statements and Closing Arguments course.
Beyond the classroom, Garrett was actively involved in community service, earning the Outstanding Community Service Student Award for his work in the Guardianship Community Law class. He also served as Secretary of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society. During his final year of law school, Garrett interned with the Clark County District Attorney's Office, where he gained courtroom experience advocating at sentencing hearings and preliminary hearings.
Garrett has also contributed to legal scholarship, authoring a historical article on the Black Lives Matter Movement published in the Nevada Law Journal, which has been cited by other legal authorities. He was also selected to appear on EmotionTrac's podcast, Latte with a Lawyer, where he discussed his professional background and legal practice.
Outside the courtroom, Garrett enjoys spending time with his wife and children, exploring the outdoors, and watching movies.
