OUTCOME: My client was successful in obtaining the commission.

A dispute involving a real estate commission following the sale of property. The case turned on what constituted the "procuring cause" of the sale. The case was initially presented to an LVR (formally ... GLVAR) arbitration panel, then brought before the district court on a Petition for Judicial Review, and ultimately appealed to the Nevada Supreme Court. After briefing and oral argument, the Nevada Supreme Court confirmed that my client was entitled to the commission, overturning the District Court's decision.

OUTCOME: Favorable - judgment was affirmed in favor of my client.

An interlocutory appeal following the denial of a requested injunction. The dispute involved a subpoena to the Nevada State Bar, and related records that were obtained. The issues on appeal focused on ... questions of whether the State Bar could be considered a governmental agency and therefore subject to relevant statutory restrictions on records, and also the court's jurisdiction to enjoin the Nevada State Bar as a non-party. The Court ultimately affirmed the District Court's decision denying the injunction.
