Divorce and custody

Legal proceedings off any kind can be daunting, especially when you're thousands of miles away. Brian and his staff made the entire process less intimidating. From listening to the case in detail and asking for specific information he created a structure and a plan early on. Being a mediator, Brian r...esolved many issues without going to court and saved everyone time and money and reduced hostilities by explaining the law as it applied to our case and in terms we could understand. Brian never overpromised any outcome but he delivered more than I could have expected. Thank you Brian Steinberg and your entire staff.

Awesome lawyer

Brain J Steinberg is a very good lawyer he fought for what i wanted through the court for a child custody case. He listened to what I had to say, read my statement, kept contact with me and good decent price for him I would gladly recommend this lawyer to my friends and family

Unprepared attorney who over bills and ignores client

Brian Steinberg is an over biller, he scheduled appointments with me at his office and nothing was accomplish additional meeting we would go over the same things as the prior meeting and as I left he would ask that I send him an email of what I had told him. Brian's office staff told me to complete a... revised financial after I completed it and hand delivered the documents they never filed it. Brian or his office staff would bill for Brian to review the other parties witness list which consisted of 8 names multiple times. Once they charged me $40 the second time they billed me $400. Not sure why Brian needed to read the names of 8 people that he nor I knew anything about. He later agreed to drop the $400 charge to $40. Brian and his paralegal do not return calls nor do they respond to emails. The day before my trial 8/11/14 I received a phone call from Brian's office threatening if I did not pay in full a bill which was received 8/6/14 in the amount of $1192.00 Brian would not represent me in court the next morning (which as a trial). My contract says all bills are due by the 15th of the month. In the past I paid all me bills in full as I received them. After I received an email copy of my final order I did not receive a call from Brian to go over the order. I called Brian and send emails asking that he comply with the judges order and send a letter to opposing council with the address of where child support payment are to be mailed. Brian finally sent the letter I had to call Brian's office to get a copy of the letter. After receiving the letter I found a major mistake, the letter listed my name as Christine, my name is not Christine my name is Brittney. When I called Brian's office asking that they correct it and resend the receptionist Shannon stated she could not fix it Brian was too busy and so was Sabine the paralegal. My son's father made it clear he did not have my address and was not sending any support until he received proper notification from my attorney. I drove down to Brian's office and Shannon stated she already told me over the phone nothing can be done I asked to see Brian she said he was in a meeting I said I would wait she said he was booked all day until 5 pm so I would have to wait until 5 pm. I said you made a mistake you won't fix your error then Sabine said she would rewrite the letter. Sabine had the letter done in 1 minute. I reviewed the letter then Sabine said she would get Brian to sign it and send it out today. I asked to sign something requesting that Brian be removed as my attorney Sabine told me there was no such document and that I needed to send Brian a letter I informed Sabine that I had already sent Brian an email yesterday requesting that he be removed as my attorney. Since it's been a week since I received my final court order and I have not spoken to Brian he does not return my calls nor does he respond to email. I am stuck with him as my attorney. I feel taken advantaged of and ignored. When I arrived at my 2 hearings and my 2 trial dates Brian had nothing prepared - If I had not brought my own list of questions for my witnesses Brian would have had nothing to talk about in court. So if you want to do all the work and receive large bills Brian is the attorney for you. I have paid over $10,000 for a custody case which as only 2 hearings and 2 half day trials.
