Biography
Leonard Stone is a founding partner of Shook & Stone, and has spent more than 29 years handling catastrophic injury and Wrongful Death cases involving commercial vehicles, pedestrians, industrial or construction accidents, as well as dangerous conditions of public and private property. Mr. Stone has been licensed to practice law in Nevada since 1995, acting as lead counsel on many multi-million dollar personal injury cases during the course of his career over three decades.
Mr. Stone is involved in local, statewide and national bar associations and public interest groups, serving multiple terms as a member of the Board of the Nevada Justice Association (“NJA”). He currently serves as Chair of the NJA’s Leadership Development, Ethics, Membership committees, and the Trial Lawyers Cares Committee, which engages in good works throughout the State of Nevada. He currently serves as Secretary on the Executive Committee for the NJA, and is in line to become President of the Association. Mr. Stone has testified before the State’s governing bodies in favor of consumer oriented litigation, and supports candidates that believe in protecting our civil liberties.
Mr. Stone’s personal expertise is Personal Injury Litigation. He has successfully obtained numerous multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements from hotel-casinos, businesses, property owners, trucking companies, retail establishments, drivers and insurance carriers. He describes his litigation approach as calculated and relentless, with the ultimate goal of holding tortfeasors accountable for the harms and losses caused by their indifference toward human life.
Mr. Stone previously served as Chairman of the Board of Jewish Nevada, and has held numerous leadership positions with that organization. He is a Past-President of the Jewish Community Center of Southern Nevada, and is the current Chair of the Hebrew Free Loan Committee, a non-profit entity which provides interest-free loans to help people in need of a hand-up, not a hand out.
In addition, Mr. Stone has been recognized as a leader in the Southern Nevada Community, receiving both the prestigious Vegas Dozen from the Nevada Cancer Institute and multiple leadership awards from the Jewish Community.
Mr. Stone received his Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Brandeis University in 1991 and his law degree from Loyola Law School in 1995. He began his career as an insurance defense attorney before discovering his passions of promoting justice and fairness for consumers, safeguarding victims’ rights, and strengthening the Civil Justice System . He is actively involved in numerous trial advocacy educational endeavors focusing upon the latest developments in the fields of trial advocacy and communication.
Mr. Stone resides in Las Vegas, Nevada, with his amazing wife Judith, a Marketing Specialist, two unique children (Jonah and Ilana), two cats (Ozzy and Ace) and a Tibetan Terrier (Izzy). Aside from his family, community and professional interests, Mr. Stone is committed to healthy living, seeking out and cultivating friendships, traveling, and following snow reports with the insatiable goal of first tracks on a bluebird day.

Passenger Accident
I was a passenger in my friends car when another car cut the car behind us and hitting the car that had cut them pushing the car behind us into our car. As a passenger I did not think I could even open a case or get medical attention until I called Shook & Stone and took me in right away.
