Biography
I am an experienced criminal defense lawyer who fights for the rights of those facing criminal charges in my hometown, Las Vegas, Nevada. As an attorney, I handle a variety of misdemeanor and felony cases, including drug offenses, DUI, battery - domestic violence, prostitution, violent crimes and sexual offenses.
In 1987, I graduated from Bishop Gorman High School. In 1991, I earned a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in International Relations from The University of San Diego before earning my juris doctor from the University of San Diego in 1996.
My law career began in Las Vegas in 1996. My focus originally was on civil litigation and sports management. However, in 2000, I began to focus my career on criminal defense and helping those accused of crimes.
In April 2004, I founded my own criminal defense practice, then known as the Law Offices of James Gallo Jr, Esq. Now, as the primary attorney at Gallo Law Office, I have defended thousands of clients, from those dealing with minor traffic violations to people facing complex sexual assault allegations.

Great Representation

Left in dark
First time offender. Hired Gallo because I was refereed to. Months of no communication, and a handful of emails that were only answered by his assistant. Phone meetings were constantly being forgotten and rescheduled. Worst period of my life made worst by Mr. Gallo. Would not recommend

Replied last February 26, 2016I am left in the dark regarding who this is. I asked AVVO to have the person contact me so I could make it right. They refused. Somewhat passive aggressive to hide behind an anonymous post. I went through my last 6 months of scheduled appointments. The few that were missed due to unscheduled conflicts were rescheduled and conducted. I have been in private practice for 20 years. No complaints about lack of contact. With regards to this post, my assistant is not instructed to email clients on my behalf. I have a personal email [email protected]. It goes directly to my phone. I am available 7 days a week except when I sleep. Furthermore, I send a letter to ALL my clients after every court appearance detailing what occurred in court and advising when the next court appearance is scheduled. I also make a copy of the discovery documents for ALL my clients and request that they schedule a meeting with me to discuss their contents.
