Gerald M. Welt received his Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law in San Diego, California. He has been in practice since 1973. Attorney Welt practices Social Security Disability/SSI disability law. He has served on the Nevada Justice Association Board of Governors since 1979 as a board member, treasurer, president-elect, president and chief administrative officer. He was the co-chair of Citizens For Justice from 1992-2010. He was a member of the President’s Council of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and has been a moderator and instructor for the People’s Law School in the subjects of Social Security Disability/SSI and workers compensation.

He has been very active in the State Bar of Nevada as a member of both the Professionalism and Lawyers’ Referral and Information Services committees. Welt is general legal counsel for the Las Vegas Clark County Library District. He has served as a member of the State of Nevada Medical/Dental Screening panel. He is a member of the court appointed arbitration panel since 1996. He is a member and past Nevada state chairman of the National Organization of Social Security Claimant Representatives (NOSSCR).
