Terrible Attorney and Office- made me lose my case
I was with this attorney for 5 years. It was a nightmare. He and Ms. Doctors were completely unprepared for my first hearing and were planning their strategy in the SSA hearing office 15 mins before my hearing time. They kept the judge waiting. They didn’t understand my complex illness and failed mis...
Unfortunately not all cases we take are won at the initial administrative hearing. Our process for preparation includes contacting all doctors and medical providers and reviewing thousands of pieces of documentation to help prove that our clients are ill, injured or disabled and deserving of benefits. We ask each client, over the 18 months to 2 years that we are preparing their case for trial, to contact our office when they receive additional medical evidence and to call our offices monthly to provide us with updates. We meet with each client 1 to 2 weeks before the hearing for pre-trial preparation so that they are aware of the process, review with them the evidence gathered and let them know what to expect at the hearing. On the date of the scheduled hearing we arrive on time and are prepared for trial. We are called into the hearing when the judge is ready for us. If an appeal has been remanded, meaning it was sent back to the judge for further consideration because the original decision contained a significant error of law or was not supported by the substantial weight of the evidence, then we have the opportunity to retry the case, if we are the attorney of record at that time. Very sorry that you were not satisfied with your representation or the outcome of the case. It is very important that those filing for Social Security Disability benefits use an attorney or a certified ADR to represent them at hearings as it is very difficult to navigate the Social Security Disability system. Contacting a law firm that has experience in the Social Security Disability system gives those ill, injured or disabled, and out of work for more than 12 months, a better opportunity to win their claims.
