Thomas Gordon Rice

Thomas G. Rice is the owner and sole shareholder of the Albuquerque, New Mexico law firm of Thomas G. Rice P.C. Mr Rice graduated from Brigham Young University at Provo, Utah, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. He spent three years in the U.S. Army serving in Viet Nam as a helicopter pilot, where he was decorated for distinguished service.

Mr. Rice received his Juris Doctor degree from Brigham Young University School of Law in 1977. He is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of New Mexico and State Bar of Illinois. He is licensed to practice in both Federal and State Courts as well as the U.S. Tax Court. He has also served as a Trustee for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court.

Mr. Rice is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant, having been involved in tax and estate planning throughout his career and has worked with a public accounting firm in managing their tax department which included individual, corporate, partnership, estate and trust taxation.

Mr. Rice’s practice is focused in the area of estate planning, tax, real estate, bankruptcy and small business representation. He has spoken before various civic and private organizations on estate planning matters. He is a past member of the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys, a nationwide organization of Estate Planning Attorneys.
