Yes you can. Deny the amount they claim is due and request that the complaint be dismissed.

Reaffirming mortgages is generally a bad idea. I always advise my clients against it despite the hassles they bank puts you through. Figure it out....

1099 money is not wages. Your state statutes will determine if 1099 earnings are attachable. A lawyer can act on your behalf, you need one.

Don't talk to them. Don't admit anything. Most of the time their bark is worse then their bite. Chances are they won't pursue it. You need a lawyer.
