Outstanding Lawyer!!

After struggling through an attempt at mediation and then selecting my first lawyer out of frustration and in haste, I finally ended up with Lisa 18 months after the divorce process was started. It literally only took a few minutes during that initial conversation to know that Lisa McNorton was the l...awyer for me. From that point forward, Lisa worked tirelessly on my case, taking the time to explain each step of the process to me to ensure that I knew what to expect with each step and that I was comfortable with the path forward to resolving my divorce. Lisa was always available, even now, when I had questions or needed to talk and was quick to counsel me when I was upset or frustrated. Her guidance and confidence helped ensure that I was focusing on resolving my case and not on the issues that really didn’t matter in the big scheme of things. In addition, Lisa was always conscience of the cost and was looking to deliver the best outcome for me while keeping the costs manageable. Much like Lisa, her entire Staff is top notch. I could not be more thankful for Lisa!

Divorce is never easy. Especially mine. Ha-ha. For more than a decade, my life was dominated, or controlled as I felt, by my ex-wife and her attorney. I represented myself for years, for dozens of hearings. Where did that get me? I was a ball of hate, anger, and rage. I could barely afford to ...live because of the amount of money I was court-ordered to pay to my ex-wife. When you have no control over your life, anger is the only thing that you can control, and boy, was I angry! I constantly lashed out in inappropriate and self-destructive ways. I felt that I was in the deepest and darkest of places, with no way out and no end in sight. Out of desperation, I decided that I needed to get an attorney. I reached out to a friend who is very renowned and highly respected in family law in Tucson. She declined to represent me as she felt it would be a conflict of interest because she also knew my ex. She recommended Lisa. I felt that I could not afford representation at that time. In retrospect, I could not have afforded not to be represented by Lisa McNorton. Lisa levelled the playing field. Did she treat me like the victim that I felt I was? Not at all. Lisa directed me to take the steps that I needed to take to gain control of my life. Lisa made me take all the classes that I had been court-ordered to take. Out of mercy, I believe, the judge previously had given me an extremely liberal time frame. How could I take them when I needed to work sixty-plus hours a week just to survive? I also felt that if I took them, that would be another win for my ex-wife. Well, they changed my life. Lisa ended up getting many thousands of dollars in judgements that were suspect at best, overturned. The money she saved me far exceeded what I paid to have proper representation. I have come out on the other side, after many years. I am a different person. I have been promoted multiple times at work, and I have returned to school to finally finish the bachelor’s degree that I started over thirty years ago. If not for Lisa, I would still be paying my ex today, and for many years to come. I am extremely thankful for Lisa McNorton and for the positive effect she has had on my life. I cannot give Lisa anything less than my very highest recommendation!

Simply the BEST

Ms. Lisa McNorton represented me in a very contentious divorce proceeding. I truly believe I could not have made a better choice for my professional legal advocate. I tell everyone who will listen: “I love my attorney”. This lady is one smart and extremely capable Family Law Attorney. Lisa illustr...ated the utmost in professionalism and compassion. During the periods the opposition attorney acted belligerent and wholly unprofessional, Lisa never wavered from her practical professionalism. Lisa’s calm and logical approach to the management of my case gave me a solid advantage over my former wife’s revengeful antics and demands. Lisa kept me informed, centered, and grounded, while advocating for my rights in the most complete and strongest manner possible. She always responded to my questions, even in the evenings and on the weekends. During the entire process I never felt “alone”. I felt like Lisa was totally involved in my plight and was always right in the fray with me. At all times, Lisa made me feel like I was her most important client. I was most impressed with Lisa’s toughness at the time she deposed my former wife. From the very beginning, Lisa took control of the proceeding and psychologically disarmed my former wife. If all attorneys upheld the same ethical standards under which Lisa skillfully practices her profession, there would be far fewer attorney stories and jokes out there to tell.
