Experienced, Compassionate Family Law Attorney. Call Today.
I am proud to practice family law at The McCarthy Law Firm in Tucson. I am also a proud Hoosier; I grew up in northern Indiana and graduated from Indiana University School of Law in Bloomington. I love Tucson and have practiced here for more than 16 years. I began my career as a prosecutor for the Pima County Attorney’s Office and then worked in private practice representing creditors in bankruptcy. I now practice exclusively in family law and frequently handle dissolutions of marriage for clients with complex assets or high net worth. I especially enjoy cases where spousal maintenance is an issue or where the case requires business valuations or division and asset tracing. I also enjoy handling post-decree cases where the division of assets or support must be enforced or clarified.
I have worked with many parents regarding legal decision-making and parenting time in my practice. I believe it is extremely important that anyone who has issues related to their children feels as though the person who is advocating in the courtroom believes that your relationship with your children is important and understands how much your concerns about your children affect both you and them. I have two children of my own and have found myself thinking often about how I would feel if I were in my client's situation.
I am a current member of the board of Child & Family Resources, Inc., and of the fundraising committee for Step Up to Justice. I am a former member of the executive committee of the Morris K Udall Inns of Court and a co-founder of the Tucson MAMAs group. I am happiest spending time with my family, practicing yoga, jogging, cooking, watching Indiana Hoosiers basketball, and hiding out in a quiet place with a good book.
I would be happy to speak with you about your case. My assistant, Sabrina, and I enjoy our work because of the people we meet. We are honored when someone chooses us to represent them.
