Falsely accused of a crime? Believe in civil liberties? Nathan Wente is your man.

In July 2012 I was falsely arrested by Medford PD while standing next to a radar enforcement van and protesting it with a sign. I was charged with violating Medford Municipal Code 5.120, Disorderly Conduct; a Class B misdemeanor that carries with it a potential $1000 fine and would cost me my Conceal...ed Handgun License if convicted. The police report claimed that the van operator had observed me stopping in the middle of the road and obstructing traffic while I was crossing the street, which was patently false. Thankfully, I had a camera set up on the sidewalk which captured the entire event and proved my innocence. Unfortunately, the camera was seized by MPD, along with some of my other property including a legally owned and carried handgun, and the municipal court pushed ahead with prosecution without ever reviewing the exculpatory video that was now in their possession. Unwilling to settle for anything short of a full dismissal of my charges and the return of my property, It was at this point that I hired Nathan Wente as my defense attorney. I hired Nate based largely on the glowing recommendations of top personnel at The U.S. Observer, a publication dedicated to helping exonerate those falsely accused of crimes, and I could not be happier with my decision to do so. From the very beginning, Nate exhibited extreme professionalism and unwavering dedication to my case. Through several pretrial hearings he kept me constantly updated on what was going on, patiently explained proceedings to me, and fully informed me of every decision that I had to make. Nate poured everything that he had into my case to insure that I would be cleared of my charges and justice would be served. Before too long, he was able to secure the video that would eventually exonerate me as well as other audio and video evidence that had been collected by the police and would bolster my case Despite every attempt by the municipal court and the city attorney to stall my case and continue with my prosecution, Nate’s excellent work eventually resulted in the dismissal of my case and the return of my property. I cannot thank him enough for my work. As a liberty activist, it is entirely possible that I will face more false or wrongful charges in the future, and if I do, you better believe that Nate will be the first person that I call. If you believe in freedom, liberty, and the rights of the individual, you will find a kindred spirit in Nate. He is a man of integrity and honesty with a genuine drive to seek justice. In the unfortunate but increasingly common event that you find yourself in need of a defense attorney to protect yourself from false, wrongful, or simply immoral charges, there is no one in Southern Oregon better prepared to defend you than attorney Nathan Wente.

"I write to offer my enthusiastic endorsement of Nathan Wente as a remarkable criminal defense attorney. I do not know Nathan personally, but I have had the pleasure of spending the last couple of days watching Nathan present a thorough, concise and, most importantly, effective defense. I am most impressed with Nathan's ability to adapt to the strategies of the prosecution, to keep the jury engaged, and to refocus the trial when necessary. I would recommend the services of Nathan Wente without reservation as he is clearly a dedicated advocate who can keep the jury's attention as he cuts through the irrelevant and delivers a compelling defense."

"I had the privilege of meeting Nathan after we had seen each other in court a few times. He is not afraid to stand strong for each one of his clients in court and spends his time making sure every detail of his cases is combed through and explored. Nathan has trial experience from his time in the prosecutor's office in California. Do not fret, though, that experience does not make him unlikely to take your defense seriously or dedicated to the other side. Quite the opposite, it has given him a passion and a drive to really explore all of the possibilities in making sure your case does not go unchallenged. He is an engaging and caring friend, a dedicated advocate and a bold, unwavering voice. His penchant for finding the government in funny situations is a talent - I recommend Nathan for anyone in the Yreka or Medford areas."

"Nathan Wente is a driven and passionate attorney. Nathan believes in the U.S. Constitution and its protections for citizens of our country. I fully endorse Nathan as an attorney, as a person of integrity, and as a friend. I have known Nathan since he was 12 years old, and I can confidently say that he is the most passionate and argumentative person I know. Nathan is not a cookie cutter attorney looking to make a buck. He fiercely advocates for his clients, and uses the whole breadth of law as a shield and a sword. I am a fellow attorney, and I would not want to sit in the prosecutor's chair when Nathan is representing the defendant."
