Jeromy West, the founder and lead attorney for Civitas Law Group, has long had a desire to have an impact on his community. Early in his studies as a law student he realized he could have a far-reaching impact on his society and community by first impacting and improving the lives of those he serves as their attorney.
Jeromy has no shortage of education, career and life experiences that all contribute to his abilities to advocate and fight for his clients. Jeromy began College by studying music theory and composition with an emphasis on classical guitar. Today he still loves playing and composing music as a beloved hobby rather than his career.
Being a student of martial arts from age 18 gave Jeromy an ambition to compete in mixed martial arts. For several years he trained intensively in Brazilian Jiu jitsu, Muay Thai, Judo, and American and Greco Roman Wrestling. Although Jeromy no longer competes in MMA, he still loves training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and still finds time for some occasional MMA sparing with teammates. Martial arts has helped Jeromy gain a high level of self-discipline, a love for guiding and teaching others and a fighter’s attitude which he applies to every facet of his life.
During his college years, Jeromy took a position as a Corrections Officer in the Arizona State Prison system. He trained and served as a member of the Tactical Support Unit, as a Field Training Officer, Staff Instructor, and a Self Defense instructor. While there, he gained an invaluable understanding of strategy and found a love for problem solving and strategic thinking that he applies to his career as an attorney.
Jeromy graduated with honors from Liberty University with a B.S. in Paralegal studies. He then attended and graduated from Arizona Summit Law School where he earned a place on the Dean’s list, gained leadership positions in several student bar organizations such as the federalist society and Jay Ruben Clark Law society and participated in Moot Court competitions. Immediately following his graduation from law school Jeromy studied for, took, and passed the bar exam and became a licensed attorney in the states of Arizona and New Mexico. He has been proudly practicing ever since!
Jeromy considers his greatest accomplishment to be his kids. He’s the proud father of four daughters and a son. He lives in Phoenix with his lovely wife, Cari, his five goofy and adorable kids and a tortoise named Russell. He is very much involved in his church activities and serves as the leader of the young men of his congregation. He is constantly learning, trying to better himself, and serve well in his home, church, and community.
Jeromy has applied his life experiences to help him become a great attorney. He composes legal arguments, fights for justice for his clients, and uses his strategic mind to help clients obtain the best outcome for their case.
