If you have a family court issue with minor children Barreda Law is HIGHLY recommended. I made the mistake of hiring a different counsel at the beginning of my case, long story short ended up wrongly losing part of my decision making. I hired Joshua Barreda after an absolute failure of representation from a previous attorney who will remain nameless. Joshua was diligent in his representation in all aspects of the case from mediation to final trial. He was extremely reasonable to the opposing side up until the day of trial. Trial d...ay was amazing and we left the courtroom with the feeling of relief. If you have a tough divorce case do not hesistate to contact Josh. I more than recommend him.

*This is a public service announcement* What a f*$&# nightmare. Each month he would charge me $1,250 the first one was $1,880, and there was nothing happening! He spent 6 months on one matter and wasn't even ready for the one and only hearing we had on the calendar! I fired him at the 5th month but h...e decided to remain unfired one more month. I had $2,000 left in my trust and ended up with $750. $1,250 is his go-to number apparently. His invoices were ridiculous. Tons of emails, weekly status meetings, claimed to be generating and submitting petitions, one month I was charged $250 for his paralegal to generate an invoice and $250 for him to proof read it. Then the last straw he called cause he wanted to get started on the other matter. I told him no to focus on the matter at hand. I had no intentions of letting him work on that I was ready to fire him and I was charged $328 for a 5 minute conversation! It cost me $8,350 6 months and he wasn't even ready for the one and only hearing we had on the calendar. In his last invoice he put in stuff that should have been done at the very beginning, minus one thing like a publication. Totally unprepared. I hired Melissa Benson of the Davis Miles Maguire Gardener law firm and she picked up the ball, ran circles around him and out the ball field she went, we were all set and ready in about a month and a half. That was the worst waste of time and money! Mr Barretta I want my money back, all of it! I don't recommend this person at all!!!
