Sadly, this is not the first time I've had to file bankruptcy… each time due to an ex-spouse. The first time the law office we used was not a good experience. So I was very hesitant about using an attorney this time, but because of our complex situation, I felt it was in our best interest not to go i...t alone. I liked that we were able to make payments to pay our bankruptcy. That is one thing I think is pretty ironic, I'm broke how do you want me to pay for a BK? So it was nice to have a couple of years to be able to make payments to get it done. Bad side was, my husband and I filed for divorce before the BK could be done and I was moving out of state, to add even more confusion to the situation. Stuart was very kind and understanding of our unique situation, we have a terminal child and why I needed to move out of state, to seek medical care for her. He spoke with us and was able to come up with a plan for both of us to be able to still file for BK as I thought that was out the realm of possibilities for me given the new situation. Stuart was also able to have me not return to AZ for my hearing, which again was huge as I would've had to travel with so much medical equipment for my daughter as I do not have any family or friends in the new state we are in to have her watched. It also would've been a huge financial burden for me to have to travel back to AZ with her as well for a very short hearing. I appreciate all the communication I've had with their office as well, his assistant Victoria has been very helpful in answering my various questions. I did not feel like I was just a number with Stuart, who was only seeking money from another poor sap who couldn't control their finances.
