Dennis Paul Brookshire

Dennis Brookshire has over thirty years of legal experience representing business and entrepreneurial clients, financial institutions, and clients in the real estate and construction industry. His practice emphasizes business, real estate, construction, commercial law, creditor rights, tax and related litigation. He also represents clients before the Internal Revenue Service.  Dennis is also an Arizona licensed real estate salesperson.

Dennis is licensed in Arizona and Oregon and is a member of the Arizona and Oregon State Bar Associations, the American Bar Association and various local legal associations. Dennis is a member of the Real Estate and Business sections of the Arizona and Oregon Bar Associations. He is admitted to the Arizona and Oregon Supreme Courts, Federal District Courts of Arizona and Oregon, Federal Circuit Court of Appeals (9th Circuit), and United States Tax Court.

Mr. Brookshire graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in political science and business administration, cum laude, from Oregon State University in 1979. He earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Oregon School of Law in 1982. Mr. Brookshire has served on the Oregon State Bar’s Real Estate and Land Use Section executive committee and is past chair of the section’s Continuing Legal Education Committee.  He has also served on the Oregon State Bar Association’s Local Professional Responsibility Committee.

Mr. Brookshire is former general counsel for the Institute of Certified Business Counselors.  He has been a frequent speaker and instructor for Oregon and Arizona real estate professionals including their ethics courses.   Dennis has served on various boards and councils for financial institutions and community organizations, including being a former chairman of the board of one of Oregon’s largest credit unions.
