Robert Hobkirk is a partner at Brown & Hobkirk, PLLC, where he focuses his practice on estate planning, probate, trusts and estates, estate administration, and estate litigation. He assists individuals and families with a wide range of legal matters, including the preparation of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and comprehensive estate plans designed to protect assets and provide peace of mind.

Having devoted his entire legal career to trusts and estates, Robert is committed to helping clients understand the legal process and make informed decisions about their futures. Known for his conversational and educational approach, he takes the time to explain complex legal concepts in a practical and understandable way, allowing clients to feel comfortable and confident throughout the planning process.

In addition to estate planning and administration, Robert represents clients in probate disputes and estate-related litigation. His litigation experience includes will contests, trust contests, claims involving undue influence and lack of capacity, fiduciary disputes, and matters involving the financial exploitation of vulnerable adults under Arizona’s Adult Protective Services Act (APSA). He frequently represents families facing difficult circumstances involving elder financial abuse and contested inheritances.

A native of New York, Robert earned his undergraduate degree from Siena College in Loudonville, New York, in 2001. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Albany Law School of Union University in Albany, New York, in 2004.

Robert is licensed to practice law in Arizona, New York, and Connecticut. His practice areas include estate planning, trusts and estates, probate, estate litigation, will and trust contests, and business law.

He is an active member of the Maricopa County Bar Association and its Trusts and Estates Section and has participated in mediation programs. Robert has also served various nonprofit organizations and maintains involvement with several chambers of commerce in the communities he serves.

Outside the office, Robert enjoys spending time with his family. His interests include mountain biking, golfing, hiking, traveling, and participating in the many creative projects and activities enjoyed by his daughter.

Robert is dedicated to protecting the interests of beneficiaries, fiduciaries, and vulnerable adults while helping clients navigate some of life's most challenging legal situations.
