John Vingelli

Our experience with John Vingelli was excellent. As our attorney, he gave our case all the time and attention that was needed to be successful in court. His calming and confident presence during very difficult court proceedings helped us stay confident throughout the many court dates. We never once... were treated as anything other than a valuable client by Mr Vingelli . We very much appreciate the knowledge and support we received throughout all the proceedings . I have spent over 24 yrs of my life in prison, over 3 terms. I was on probation at the time I was charged with 3 new felony charges, weapons and 2 drug charges. I was facing, (as I was informed by a judge at a settlement conference) 10 to 14 yrs in prison minimum. And that would be if I was lucky. ... At my age that would have basically been a life sentence. I was at a loss, I was making plans to get my affairs in order, and mentally preparing for prison. The state appointed John Vengelli as my contract counsel. I explained my plight to him. Thinking he would be like the public defenders I'd had in the past, he wouldn't care what the truth was, I thought he would pass judgement like everyone else had, assume me guilty and plea me to a lengthy prison term. Not wanting to waste his time trying to defend the likes of me, who's life didn't matter to anyone in this system. Never did I imagine this man would work miracles in my life. It took 1 yr and 9 months, but John Vengelli took all the time necessary to keep me free, to give me my life back. He believed in me, probably more than I believed in myself. He viewed me as a human, not a statistic. He got to the facts of my case, he brought the truth forward and used it to fight for my freedom. In the end I still signed a plea bargain, but I walked away a free man with 4 yrs probation, no time in jail or prison. Time served on my existing probation, and free to resume my life. Nothing short of a miracle. Anyone who has ever spent time in the system knows how unbelievably impossible this outcome is. John is, quite literally, a miracle worker. If you can't believe in your client, then you can't believe in what you do. I have never met an atty with the ethics and the tenacity I have seen in John Vengelli. I have the utmost respect for him. John presented the facts in my case to the prosecution. He remained stedfast and was able to negotiate the terms we wanted. All but one charge was dropped. And I left the courtroom without spending 1 day in jail. If you want an atty who can get the job done, I highly recommend you call John Vengelli. He is the man who can make it happen for you. I received a blessing in my life the day he took on my case. All to often people only take the time to write a review for something they are not happy with. To let people know of a bad experience they had for one reason or another. Readers don't get to hear the other side of that story. I've never written a review for anything before, but this experience made me feel the need to share it. If there is anyone who has a bad thing to say about John Vengelli, I would have to strongly disagree, because this is a man that goes above and beyond what ANY other atty has EVER been willing to do for me. John is an atty who believes in what he does. He will get Justice for you.

John Vingelli represented my daughter in a criminal case and worked tirelessly until the best possible outcome was available for my daughter. Excellent with the law and working with the prosecution made us feel at ease in the lost trying time of our lives. Mr. Vingelli is in contact and has contact w...ith all jurisdictions in Arizona as his practice is in Scottsdale and our case was in Tucson. At no time did we feel "out of the loop," as Mr. Vingelli kept us informed and worked within the legality and our wishes as parents of the defendant. I would recommend Mr. Vingelli for representation for the professional work as well as the manner and respect he treated our family.

John Vingelli and his paralegal, Carol Jensen, performed very poorly for me in a personal injury case: 1. Multiple times I requested to be copied on all correspondence to others regarding my case. I was not. 2. I asked to review the Complaint before it was filed in court to make sure there were... no errors. My request was not honored and the Complaint was filed with errors of fact which could have hurt my case if it had gone to trial and may have hurt it during the settlement, although there is no way of knowing if the defense attorney picked up on the errors because the arbitrator kept the defense and prosecution parties in separate rooms. 3. JV put very heavy pressure on me to settle my case, even threatening to withdraw as my attorney if I did not accept $55K (he initially set damages at $160K). From my observations, it appeared he never had any intention of taking my case to court. 4. Though I felt forced to agree to my share of the settlement on February 12, 2019, I did not receive my share until July 2. And for nearly three months past the due date of April 5, JV did not repay Medicare's claim for reimbursement for medical bills it had paid, causing me to receive notice that Medicare was about to withhold all future medical benefits and that my Social Security benefits would be diverted to pay this debt to Medicare. It wasn't until I reported this to the Bar Association and a bar staff attorney investigated that Medicare and my secondary insurance company were finally reimbursed and I finally received my share of the settlement. 5. Dozens of my emails to JV and/or CJ went ignored, including several reminders that reimbursement payments to the insurance companies were overdue.

John represented me in a very complicated civil case in Tucson. I was a defendant against a lawyer that was representing himself. The case went all the way to a 3 day jury trial. From the time the trial started all the way to the end, I witnessed John completely controlling the courtroom. There were ...times during the trial when it appeared that the Judge was even learning a few things from John. In the end, we defended 7 civil counts against me, of which we successfully defended 6 of them. The one count against me was my own fault, an honest mistake, of which I admitted to and the Jury found me liable for $100. You read that correctly, $100. When the jury was excused, one of the jury members said to me "you have a great lawyer." Throughout the entire case John was very responsive, extremely knowledgeable, personable, and fair. You won't find a harder working, better prepared or experienced lawyer than John. He's a top notch person and an amazing lawyer. Don't waste anymore of your time researching/ interviewing anyone else to represent you, just call him, he's the best.
