Donna Farar Jewett

Donna is the worst divorce attorney you can possibly hire! Save yourself thousands and DO NOT HIRE this firm. She cannot keep her thoughts straight, she messes up deadlines, she is unorganized, she cannot keep details in factual order, she is messy, and overall, not a great lawyer. She might have bee...n one, at one time, but not anymore. Shecosted me so much money its sad. I would highly advise looking elsewhere; she is not a fighter for the clients, although she supposedly says she is. Overall, just a poor business and shoddy lawyer.

Donna helped guide me through the divorce process with 2 small children. She took all of my concerns/questions into consideration and responded timely to my requests. She was able to get me and my children the support we needed to get on our feet. She is very knowledgeable about family law and expl...ained the process in great detail. She was very compassionate and had my children's best interest at heart.

Had Donna Jewett represent me in a Family Law Case for about 5 months, she charged 10,800.00 sent out about 2 subpoenas and talked with the judge once by phone. She sat on my case and alowed my doscovery time to run-out, all while I had asked her AGAIN and AGAIN to bring in someone who could help he...r. SHE DID NOTHING! I had money owed back to me, and she found away to bill me for more... Picking Donna Jewett was a HUGE MISTAKE! Please think twice about hiring her, huge disappointment and to top it off she is WEIRD just like the person before me stated.

Donna CANNOT be trusted - We will end up filing a bar complaint against her for many reasons but here are just a few to note: When we finally had had enough of Donna Jewett's inaccurate and exorbitant charges, her lack of follow-up (and follow-thru) on our case, her inaccessibility, her rude and cu...rt behavior towards us, we finally cut our losses and retained another much more reputable attorney. It was only then that we found out that there was a HUGE conflict of interest in our case which Donna failed to disclose to us. She and the opposing council are great friends outside of work. It was then that everything finally made sense to us - instead of working to resolve our case, she and the opposing council were obviously and blatantly only prolonging it in order to both pad their fees. We were also told that Donna had a “habit” of "referring" her clients and used other "expert witnesses" in her cases that gave her kickbacks and who would also work to again complicate and prolong the case so that she could charge her clients more. (We couldn't understand WHY we were having such issues with EVERYONE she referred us to - as they all seemed to be working AGAINST US and not FOR US)!! She was also unresponsive and didn't file paperwork in a timely matter - then had to back pedal with the courts which aggravated the Judge and further caused issues with our case. She refused to credit us for the time she spent correcting HER mistakes. Unfortunately, again we discovered all this much too late and are now out thousands of dollars and have a Judge who is understandably as frustrated with our case as we are. In addition to changing to a new attorney we now have to petition the courts to ask for a new Judge in our case as well. Hiring Donna Jewett was the WORST decision we ever made.
