Exploitation at 470% Legal Fees

I came to Brian Weinberger after experiencing a loss, hoping to find a strong advocate to help me with an automotive litigation case. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing and left me feeling exploited. Communication was poor and inconsistent—emails and calls often went unanswered fo...r long periods, if at all. I rarely received clear guidance or a meaningful update. The fees were extreme compared to the outcome: I paid more than $56,000 in legal fees, and the case ultimately settled for only $12,000. I was also given unrealistic expectations at times about potential recovery. I kept trusting and trying to work with him, but that turned out to be a costly mistake.

Unprofessional and Untrustworthy

I regret ever hiring this lawyer. When I was first looking for representation, he was calling me constantly, every single day, pushing me to choose him. He wasn’t the cheapest option, but his persistence convinced me to believe he would be dedicated and effective. That was a huge mistake. The mome...nt my $9,000 wire transfer hit his account, everything changed. No more calls, no follow-ups, no action. I had to chase him for updates, and when I did get a response, it was vague and dismissive. To this day—10 months later—he has not filed a single document on my case. For the past four months, he has completely ignored my emails, calls, and messages. This lawyer gave me the runaround, wasted my time, and took my money without providing any service. If you value your money and your case, do not hire this lawyer.

DO NOT HIRE

Take your time to read all his bad reviews. You will find he has a history of getting all the same complaints. He has a history of being on probation with the AZ state bar. He will charge you an exorbitant flat fee to handle your case. You will find after he gets your money he's very slow to file a c...omplaint, file any motions, moving your case forward. He will be the cause of all the delays. He very bad at sending you any documents or orders from the court. He will disappear not returning your phone calls and not answering your emails. If you send him an email with questions he will only answer one or two question and ignore the rest. if you send him evidence he will lose that email and never forward that to the defendant. If you ask him about it he will say oh I don't have that email. Even after you forward the sent email to him again. He will doing things like this and more to try and make you fire him so he does not have to uphold the contract you paid him a flat fee for. There's a 1,000 other attorneys out there save your money and a bunch of aggravation and don't use this guy.

over two years of hell and frustration

I got deceived by Brian's overwhelming positive google reviews. I wish I did more research before hiring him such as looking him up at the Arizona Bar Association. He has a history of being in trouble with the bar association and was put on probation. Source: https://azbar.legalserviceslink.com/ ...and search for his name. I paid a huge flat fee to Brian to take care of everything. Filing ligation and get the money if won. Once I paid him everything he barely responded to any of my emails or calls. It took him on average from 2 weeks to months (with constant calling and emailing) to respond. When he does respond, he would only answer the question he wants and avoiding most of the questions I asked. For instance, I would ask him 5 questions and he'll answer 1 or 2 questions and ignore the rest; even when I resend those questions again he continued to choose not to answer. It took him nearly a year to file a simple ligation. Fortunately, we won the ligation by default because the other party didn't respond. When its time to collect money; he showed me no attempt at collecting money. I even had to request him to place liens on the properties of the people I sue before they filed bankruptcy and to secure the money I won from judgment. I even had to do my own research (which should be his job) and tract down all the properties (which he does not know how to do) so that he can put liens on. I emailed him all the properties to put liens on. It's been around 6-8 months now and he still has NOT filed the lien for me; therefore jeopardizing my chance of ever going to be able to collect money. It has been two years of constant frustration with Brian, therefore I highly do NOT recommend him. Please save yourself from frustration. If you do hire him, please do not pay everything outright since based on my experience, he neglected me once he took all my money.

Do not hire!!!!!

We hired him to handle a dispute with an inspection company resulting in house damage. Paid him a flat fee, never heard from him. Emailed him a week later and he suggested we send a email to the company. The email was sent and threaten lawsuit if not responded to in 24 hours. No response from Mr. We...inberger after this, again had to contact him myself. He wanted more money to file the suit even though he had only sent an email with the last large amount given to him, we came to an agreement that the money already given would last up until he was to show up in court. Then he disappeared for several weeks avoiding calls and emails. Finally tracked him down, asked for an update as we had nothing past the one email sent to the company. He apologized and was suppose to file that week. Again, another 2 or more weeks go by and no contact. Again several attempts and it takes a week for a response. Again no lawsuit filed, again apologizes. At this time he is fired and refuses to adjust pay. He wants to charge 4000.00 for one email sent to a company. One 3 paragraph email. Mr. Weinberger claims he has been in contact with the company and has multiple emails, he just forgot to send them to us. When asked to produce these emails, he says he will and yet we still don't have them. He wants to charge us for these emails, but will not let us see them.
