Jayne M Sassano

I met Jayne Sassano in summer of 2017. Our corporation was being pursued by private equity bankers who wanted to buy. They sent several offers that are very confusing in some ways and very plain in others. We used Jayne as the contact person so we could forward interested buyers to her. She dealt wit...h some real jerks. Most wanted to pay near nothing to gain at least 51% control of our business. Jayne found a buyer on her own. Jayne's buyer was real and capable of running our corporation, with the help of a few key people already in place. Both my partner and I had not made up our minds to sell, but when we saw a group of weak offers next to a real and substantial offer Jayne came to us with, we knew it was time to act. Thanks Jayne. We paid a flat fee to Jayne that was more than fair.

Our business was going well but the owners, me being one of them were not. Life was pulling us in different directions. When we agreed to hire Jayne as a business and legal adviser we hoped she would provide clarity and new direction and she did that. We found out that our CPA was overcharging us,... that our life insurance salesman and longtime friend set up our coverage wrong, and then we learned that one partner that we just agreed to buy out had set up a shadow company and was ripping off our sales. When the dust settled we got payback from the thief and we ended up deciding to sell our company to some younger employees who could really build on our success. I was very impressed with Jayne's abilities. This all took place in less than a year and we were charged a fair flat fee we knew up front.

In 1997 our company was transferred from one generation to the next. Jayne Sassano was hired by our company and worked with a total of five people during that process, all of whom had very different needs and ideas. Through meeting with each of the five people separately, she gained an understanding... of what was important to each. She then came up with a plan that everyone agreed upon and successfully transferred the company. As a tax attorney, she also helped us to transfer the company while paying the least amount of taxes legally possible. She saved us a great deal of money. In 2013 one of our partners wanted to sell his portion of the business. We had all been so impressed with Jayne's work from the first time we hired her in 1997, that all of us agreed that we would use Jayne to help us through this process as well. Once more Jayne came through for all of us. It is very rare that both sides (buyers and seller) would use the same person to represent them, but that is the kind of trust that all of us had in Jayne. She did not disappoint us! She was able to come up with a workable and realistic plan that addressed the different needs, and that we all agreed upon. She was absolutely wonderful to work with. She is honest, creative, has reasonable prices for the high quality of work that she does. She takes complicated legal issues and simplifies them so that everybody can have a clear understanding of the situation. She is also great at working with people, understanding what they need and coming up with a plan that's agreeable to everyone I would, without any reservation, recommend Jayne for doing any type of business transfers.

Jayne took our case, we were sure that something was not right as funds seemed to be missing. What she found was worse than we had thought. Phone calls with questions were not billed to us and answered in plain english. We were always alerted to the possibilities, what to expect/what not to expect. S...he always remained calm even when the other side seemed to want to aggravate her. Super prepared for the settlement meeting.

It was an estate/trust matter. Four of us heirs, all living in different states and none in AZ, hired Jayne Sassano when we had reason to believe financial information provided by PR/Trustee AND her lawyer was incomplete and misleading. The malfeasance was greater than we suspected; only a fraction ...of assets had been disclosed. It was a hard slog., but what we got from Ms. Sassano was a RESULT that met, even exceeded, our expectations. She learned the detail of the case. She knew the law. She responded promptly to our many inquiries. Any of us could call her, and her time was not billed for these calls. She worked for settlement as she prepared for trial, which seemed for a time to be unavoidable. We settled. Good settlement and courtroom demeanor. She has an even temper, maintained in the face of considerable provocation. I believe that her preparation and organization for the settlement conference carried the day. I would recommend Jayne Sassano; in fact I already have.
