Two families, 5 stars!

Diana has not only represented me but my fiancés case. My case was high conflict and 3 years of continual litigation. While some may go “OMG 3 years??? Be done now!” It isn’t how family court works. Diana got me the exact things I wanted and needed. And mostly protected and stood up for my son ...throughout it all. My fiancé used her to modify as well, which ended up being high conflict but a couple short months later he too got what he asked for and more. Diana is excellent at what she does, and I trust no one else but her. She is honest and up front and knows the court inside and out. She has represented a handful of friends of mine as well. I only refer people to her. Don’t believe the negative reviews.

Beware of the Negative Reviews!

Please consider why Diana might get ANY bad reviews! In case you can't figure it out, being really good at family law means that you will inevitably piss the other half of the equation off. And, since matters of the family are so emotional and near to the heart, there is going to be backlash. In f...act, I'd be willing to predict that many of the bad reviews are from women who have lost to her in court... "hell hath no fury than a women scorned". Diana is an amazing lawyer who doesn't just seek to represent anyone for the sake of money. In fact, I have come to realize that while she does have a great number of wealthy clients, she values all of her clients the same. In fact, I would venture to say that since she has such a heart for matters of the family, and all things wholesome and true, she doesn't care to look at the $ behind each scenario. Instead, I believe she takes on cases that have the heart of morality; what's best for the family/children, most. And, this was certainly true with my case. I will keep it short in stating that after 18 years of what most thought to be a stellar marriage, mental illness crept in and created an absolute monster in my ex. wife. To exasperate the situation, she was/is in complete denial of the massive wake that she is leaving behind her. And, as such, she continually ratcheted up the attacks on me, my kids, my extended family, and our closest friends… I am talking dirty, unrivaled, conniving attempts to sabotage, demean, slander, demoralize, and emotionally exhaust anything that is good. In all the chaos and uncertainty, Diana was there. Yes, she was there for the family court process, the hearing, the litigation, and the filings, etc.; but, unlike most other lawyers, she was also there ethically and morally. She was not only capable in the matters of a nasty divorce that one cannot prepare for and that are unseen, but she was extraordinary in being able to assist in communicating these things to her client so that I could mentally, emotionally, and physically prepare for what was to come. Hearing how the process will transpire, what to expect, and even predicting what a crazy spouse will likely try next - these are the things that aid in Diana's invaluable resource as a family law lawyer. I cannot speak highly enough of the women, lawyer, communicator, and defender of morality/justice that Diana is, and I would recommend her to any of my closest friends and relatives. Thank you for all that you do/did Diana!

Terrible

I retained Diana Rader and her office to handle a family law matter. In my initial consultation, Diana was on time and appeared competent and I decided to pay her a retainer of several thousand Dollars. Frankly, that was the last time Diana was either competent, professional or responsive. As a ...former attorney, I found her performance to be completely unacceptable for the following reasons: -She rarely, if ever, responded to my emails or telephone calls -In speaking with her about case strategy or discovery, I needed to suggest what needed to be done next because it was very apparent that Diana had done little or no review of my file. In turn, I was forced to prepare all discovery requests and responses. In sending my response to opposing counsel, Diana failed to submit a response signed by me which, along with Diana’s non-responsiveness, violated Arizona Family Law Rules and caused opposing counsel to request a deposition, further adding legal expenses to both sides. I took the deposition of the opposing party and had defended my own deposition. -Even though I asked her to represent me, Diana tasked an inexperienced first-year associate with handling my case. Even though I requested that associate to be removed from the case after several glaring mistakes, she refused. Diana appeared to do next to nothing in this case. To the contrary, she constantly missed deadlines for the filing of discovery responses which resulted in an order for the payment of legal fees to be entered against me. -Even though Diana was contacted by counsel to discuss settlement, Diana failed to adequately convey opposing counsel’s willingness to settle the matter. It should be noted that the case settled shortly after Diana effectively withdrew from the case. -To add insult to injury, despite the fact that Diana had done very little substantive work and required me to prepare the substance of all discovery requests, discovery responses and all essential case strategy, she requested payment of additional legal fees in excess of $3000 approximately one week before trial even though she knew I had no money and I needed her for the trial. When I told her I could not pay the legal fees at this time but would be willing to pay them later, Diana immediately filed a Motion to Withdraw as Counsel less than 5 days prior to trial. Thankfully, opposing counsel was extremely professional and we were able to settle the case on the eve of trial. It was clear that a settlement could have been reached much sooner but for Diana’s lack of responsiveness to opposing counsel’s attempt to reach her. In my professional opinion as an attorney, I believe that Diana Rader should be avoided at all costs. In my career as an attorney, I have never encountered a more incompetent and unresponsive attorney. If you do not believe me, please contact me. I also believe that if I had not been an attorney who understood that she was mishandling this matter, this case would have ended very badly for me.
