Best family court lawyer in Phoenix

Shelley was recommended by a good friend of mine when I was going through a post-decree petition by my ex in family court. Though we ended up settling out of court on all of the issues, I'm fully aware that had I not had Shelley in my corner, there's a very good chance I would have lost custody of my... son. In the end, I think we all won, especially my son. I appreciate Shelley's expertise in childhood education, and her knowledge of mental health issues, as these topics were central to my case. She was very knowledgeable of where the court landed on a number of pertinent issues, and was careful in her communication which is superb. Her response to the initial petition was simply epic. Shelley gave me the support I needed during one of the most stressful times in my life, and when needed, told me where I could see things more clearly. I think that if she chooses, Shelley would do well as a family court judge someday, not only because she has the child's wellbeing firmly in mind at all times, but understands where an argument falls short of logic, and begins to drift toward emotion, even a client's argument. This kind of self-scouting is invaluable for a client, and can mean the difference between winning and losing a case. If you hire Shelley, you will grow immensely from the experience, and give yourself a great chance of success.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
