Top 1%

I have been a lawyer for over 30 years. I employed Scott to help my nephew in a personal injury case. I did so not only because I did not specialize in this area of law, I also knew Scott had an excellent reputation. He not only got an excellent result for my nephew, he assisted in setting up the Gua...dianship to administer the settlement. He also helped us close it later. He was responsive, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. He fought hard for our interests. I would rate him in the top 1% of lawyers.

Excellent Legal System Knowledge

Scott McKay represented my wife in a personal injury case (dog bite/attack) with excellent results. He guided us through the judicial system with care, compassion, and the utmost legal knowledge and skills, all the while understanding the emotional impact suffered by her. He explained what, how and w...hy she needed to provide facts for the case and jointly a position was established. He was always available for questions, didn't let the legal process slow, and it resulted in a positive judgment in her behalf. He went above expatiations in concern for her physical, mental, and emotional conditions.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
