From the very first phone call Sydney was informative and knowledgeable. I was charged with disorderly conduct and assault. She was up against one of the most state friendly judges and prosecutors as well as a victim's right attorney and a jealous alleged victim. Sydney went to work from the very... first moment conducting police interviews, gathering the facts of the case and negotiating with the prosecutor. We decided to go to trial. At trial Sydney was spectacular she came prepared, she made sure that I was ready to take the stand in my own defense and showed that the victim was not truthful with the police or the courts. She was able to get one of the charges dismissed. At sentencing she again was ready and prepared. I spent 12 hours in jail and was given 11 months of unsupervised probation for my sentence. The restitution hearing lasted hours due to the alleged victim being uncooperative and failing to answer questions. His attorney submitted over 600 pages of documents that Sydney went through. In the beginning the victim was asking for over $250,000 in restitution. Sydney was able to prove that the medical treatment he was receiving was not connected to the crime. The judge ruled that he should only receive $2900 based on the evidence that Sydney presented and her cross examination of the victim. All though the case is now over she is still working on my case and making sure that everything is completed.
