NOT recommended

In 2009 my husband was arrested and put into a immigration holding center in Florence, AZ. Emilia promised to help, but her lack of communication was very poor. I paid her a down payment of $1000 and she was supposed to keep good communication with me, so that we could figure out when the bond hear...ing was. That was not the case, I was doing most of the work on my own. Had I not called to find out what day his master calendar hearing was I would have missed it, because it was the following day . To my surprise when I showed up to the hearing in Florence, Emilia sent her sister in her behalf because she was away "vacationing". I was not notified of the change. When we sat down to present our case to the judge, her sister had all of the information mixed up with another case and gave false information to the judge. I was so frustrated I decided to hire another attorney Jose Bracamontes (which is EXCELLENT) . Not once was I offered an apology, explanation for the disorganization, or a follow up call to see if I had gone with another attorney. This was a nightmare, and thankfully things didn't end up worse!!! Save your money and headaches! Stay away from this attorney.

she is the lawyer you want on your side!!!

this laddy knows what she is doing would recommend to any one she has done an amazing job we got our residency in 2007 right before the law change in April we had our appointment with immigration on April the 8th and on the 28th of march she called us, that we needed to go in on the 29th that she had... change our appointment because if we waited for our original appointment we would lose our case, we walk out approve and in a wk we had our green cards. she works hard on your case, she is always inform on law changes grate customer service I thank you Emilia Bañuelos for your dedication and hard work we had been ripoff by other lawyer in the past and I know how hard is to find the one you can trust and know will work for you not just take your money, Well Emilia was the one for us, Im glad a friend recommended her to us, now I'm a US Citizen and Emilia was part of it again Thankyou.

I would definately recommend this lawyer

It is easy to tell when a lawyer is experienced in the cases he or she is dealing with. Emilia handled my cases very carefully. I have done my case through her office, as well as the differed action cases for both of my children. I am exceedingly happy with the work she has done for not only me, but ...my family as well. Plain and simple, she is a kind person and experienced lawyer. I will continue to recommend all of my friends and family members with immigration issues.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
