At peace with Melissa as my attorney

Melissa is beyond compassionate and extremely knowledgeable on family law ensuring my son is advocated for and protected. I went many years without the right representative and the consequences are difficult but Melissa is helping to correct much needed issues to resolve my case and finally bring me... peace of mind. Personal, Honest and Caring

My wife and I hired Melissa Benson to help us with a long-shot attempt to adopt the biological brother of daughter whom we adopted from their parents in 2017. The boy child stayed with them and then they split up and in an unfortunate series of events, both of these children's biological parents pass...ed away at separate times a couple years apart. We had been able to keep contact with the brother while he was with his mother but after she passed, we lost contact due to him being with his father. Then his father passed. We thought this wslas our one and only opportunity to try to unite the brother and sister. Melissa did everything under the law and evn consulted multiple colleagues trying to help us find a loophole to get in the consideration of becoming gaurdians and eventual adoptive parents of this young boy. Unfortunately, we live in FL and the boy was in AZ and had been safely living with the deceased father's old girlfriend for over 2 years. Despite our pleas and court document submissions, the court would not even consider moving the child. Melissa could have dragged out the process and very easily run up charges for us to the $50-$70k range, because she knew how much we wanted to make this happen. Rather than doing that, she very compassionly and softly gave us the new reality and that was that we unfortunately had a very very very dark horse in the race. Ultimately there was nothing that could be done to change the ruling of the AZ courts. Melissa was awesome throughout the process, very responsive and always on the level with us. I would recommend Melissa Benson to anyone who is looking for representation from someone who will understand your situation not just from a legal side but also from a personal al and emotional side. Thank you Melissa! We LOVE you.

Melissa did a great job of breaking down each aspect of my divorce case and answering all of my many questions. She was kind, patient and always made me feel like I mattered when as a Man in a divorce it can sometimes feel very one-sided towards the needs and wants of the wife.
