Thank you Anthony for providing excellent information and clarifying the difference between defensive display and brandishing. I came away from this with a better understanding that the difference depends on the circumstance. For example, just touching your overgarment to signal you have a weapon cou...ld be construed as brandishing in a situation such as a physical altercation or the person at the gas station asking for money, but not showing any sign of ill intent. On the flipside, someone approaching with a blunt object or themselves displaying a weapon such as a knife and asking for your wallet or car keys would justify a defensive display ranging from notification that you are armed up to a low ready display. As an avid viewer of Active Self Protection and attendee of several of their FLP sponsored webinars as well as these standalone FLP webinars I have learned a lot about self defense situations, namely, that the best defense is avoidance and from there to always use the lowest level of force necessary for the situation, ie verbal to physical to less lethal and lethal only as a last resort(and only if lethal force has been presented by the threat and is still active). All that said, I look forward to more of these webinars in the future, but most of all as an FLP member I am glad you are on my team(although I hope I never need your services).

I called Mr. Ramirez to determine if he could assist me in a possible civil issue. He returned my call very quickly and offered me good advice on my situation. I met Anthony at Country Thunder in April of 2019. After getting cited for a Minor in Consumption, I went over to his booth and he offered to help me out. After the weekend was over I hired him to help get my offense dismissed. I started this review with a very long story. Then, realizing I was using the forum to vent my anger at the situation, I started over. The law is not about what is right or fair. It’s money and politics and deceit. Justice does not prevail, but sometimes you get a tiny break. Anthony will be hone...st with you, he will address your concerns, and sometimes he’s a little rough. The rough part might piss you off, but listen through your ego to what he is saying. Push back where it makes sense and he will listen. He will work with you, listen to your points, help you understand them in the perspective of the law and legal negotiations and he will always represent you fairly and honestly. He and I tangled a couple times, but he did exactly what I hired him to do. Represent me. Am I happy with the outcome of my case? No. The other side was a massive entity that had, in some manner, compensated witnesses to lie. But - Anthony negotiated a settlement that ensured all my claims were covered and I walked away with the best settlement we could have negotiated. Anthony is smart and he is an excellent resource and advisor. Most of all, he really cares and - if he believes in your case and takes it on, he will represent you to the best of his ability. I would recommend him without reservation.
