Though I graduated from the top law school in the country and most of my classmates went to work for large law firms representing big companies that was never for me.
I have spent my entire legal career represeting injured people in their battles with insurance companies, first doing personal injury work, more recently doing exclusively workers' compensation.
Unlike many of my colleages who also handle Social Security Disability cases I limit my practice strictly to workers' compensation, that is my sole area of interest and expertise.
The economics of a workers' compesation are such that most of my colleagues feel they need a high volume practice to earn a decent living. I have found what I feel is a better way-I limit my practice to representing only those clients who have moderate to severe injuries and have missed a signifiicant amount of time from work as a result. By doing that my clients get all the personal attention they need and I am still able to be compensated fairly for the hard work, commitment and expertise I provide.

I hired Stephen after I was denied a Workers Compensation claim from my employer, Southwest Airlines. Stephen did an exemplary job in having my employer reverse their decision. I would definitely recommend Stephen.

I had a very complicated and difficult Workman's Compensation/Disability case. I contacted several attorneys who were recommended to me but to no avail ... I never could get past a Legal Assistant, and if I did get to briefly chat with the lawyer on the phone, they would decline my case and tell me t...

I found this guy on avvo.com. He was highly rated ( this makes me now question this site's rating integrity). First, his personality is very dry and monotone. My wife wasn't feeling him from the beginning and I should of listened to her. The best thing that I can say is his assistant Ana is outstandi...

Both Steve Weiss and his assistant, Ana, have been very responsive. Any time I call them or email them or have a question, they get back to me right away. I’ve been very happy, and I’ve had a great experience with them.
