Despite the lengthy process of my case, and unique nature of the case, Monika was confident through out the process and had a clear vision of the the anticipated end results - as well as alternative options if initial outcomes were not... met. I approached Ms. Monika Sud-Devaraj for an immigration case for parents. During the first paid consultation appointment over the telephone I had the following concerns: - Her lack of professionalism: For example, she randomly paused to converse with someone in the background for some other task! -... Her lack of knowledge and tendency to misguide: She gave false information such as about in-lieu documentation for the I-130 process and telling us to instead go through an arduous process. - Her lack of amicability: Her overall tone during the consultation was generally disheartening. Hence, I identified a different attorney and approached him with the hope that things may not be as gloomy as Ms. Monika Sud-Devaraj made it appear. The new attorney researched and obtained the right information and that too for no cost! I finally received the right guidance such as what in-lieu documentation can be used for birth certificate for parents born before 1970, etc. Overall, I am surprised that Monika Sud-Devaraj received average-to-high ratings on this website as as immigration attorney. I only approached her because of her ratings here, but my experience proved her incompetent and I wouldn't recommend one approach her for I-130 applications.

I contacted Monika Sud-Devaraj in the year 2009 when I needed to start my VISA transfer process from J1 to H1B. Monika was very exhaustive and guided my employer in correct and legal way to go about documentation. There were times when my employer lost patience as Monika was very persistent on follow...ing the right way (which was detailed, authentic, legal, and delayed way) and not to do anything in haste. I got my H1B with ease. There after she started the process of H1B extension and Green Card process. Going by my resume and experience, it was suggested that I should file for Green Card under two different categories (EB1 and EB3), since my case had a strong probability of approval under EB1 as well. I went ahead and decided to apply in both the categories. Fortunately, I was approved in both categories and before I could digest this news; I had Green Card in my hand. My H1B extension is still valid till October 2017, but my family and I already have Green Card in my hand. Thanks to Monika and her competent team (Marina Torres and Marshall G. Whitehead) for suggesting, assisting, and processing all my paper work in getting me Green Card well in time. I STRONGLY recommend Monika Sud-Devaraj. She is meticulous, very competent, reviews every document carefully, prepares each case strategically, and is always available (especially via email) to ease the stress.
