Leonce A Richard III

Attorney Leonce Richard has some outstanding reviews, therefore, I felt comfortable hiring him. However, I am at a complete puzzle as to how anyone involved in a court case could hire him and be pleased about it! He is experienced & legally knowledgeable; however, in my opinion, he does NOT belong ...in the courtroom. To say he "argues" in court is a gross overstatement! He barely utters any verbal points or support for his client. Never preps his client for what might happen, what might be points brought up in court & how to answer questions, etc. His legal knowledge is good & he has been an attorney with Dickinson Wright PLLC for some time and that's where it ends. In my divorce, I was sued 4 times in 8 years by my ex-husband, leaving me in a continued state of litigation for 8 years. With each trial, Mr. Richard knew & remembered less and less about the initial divorce until the 4th trial when he literally sat there and uttered NOTHING...not a syllable, in my defense. By the time of my 4th trial, EVERYTHING I was awarded in the first court trial was taken away from me because of so many points that were never covered & reinforced since the initial trial. If I tried to add information at trial, it was mostly declared as "hearsay" because Mr. Richard never submitted the information to the courts pretrial. The list of grievances goes on & on. Again, does not belong in court since he does little to nothing to defend his client!

Lee Richard is a cut above the rest of the family lawyers I have come across in the last 5 years since my divorce. Unfortunately, I have had to go back to Court on several issues with my ex-husband but he has won every time. He is a gentleman lawyer but he is extremely savvy and so without being mean... or a bully he gets right to the point, comes prepared, and takes names! I think the judges find him refreshing in Family Court with all of the bulldog divorce attorneys who badger their witnesses. He is familiar with most of the judges and if he isn't he asks his colleagues so that he can come prepared. He is so busy he is not interested in just billing you for hours unnecessarily. He is not inexpensive but it is worth your money if you want to win.
